US L’Officiel Summer 2019 : Kendall Jenner by Russell James

Looks like a set of behind-the-scenes images from another shoot. Instantly forgettable, and this is for a seasonal magazine.

This editorial does make me wonder - let's say someone keeps up with their forehead botox when they're young, is it inevitable that they'll still develop wrinkles, but just elsewhere, like the ridge across the nose we see in those shots?

Because every time you pull an expression, yes, you're moving one particular section of your face, but you're always calling other muscles into play.

We're all familiar with the traditional wrinkles that we can expect to see with age, but are we going to start to see the formation of other types of wrinkles as a by-product of using fillers/botox for a long time? Is a 'rhino wrinkle' across the nose going to be a thing, when people no longer have expression across their forehead for several decades? And as a consequence, will there be even newer procedures to tackle these second-phase wrinkles?

THESE ARE THE THINGS I WANT ALLURE TO TELL ME ABOUT.

That is oddly enough not a question most are asking. People are too chuffed that dermatologists encourage preventative botox nowadays to the point where the new rule of thumb is to start small dose treatments before lines appear on your 'rest' expression. There must be a grey area between regular treatments to smooth out the lines, and how it affects your ageing as it progress, surely.

And yes, Allure can look into that for us. But the most interesting fact I've learned from Scientific American is that excessive mobility (which include running,) is definitely a cause of accelerated ageing.

To a point, yes. Your muscles overcompensate in other areas. It's usually pretty minor but it does happen (that's why some people get 'bunny nose' wrinkles more prominently if their forehead/scowl lines are heavily botoxed.)

As for your second question, however, those bunny nose wrinkles are ALSO treatable. It just means more and more of your face will have to be botoxed.
