US Vogue February 2011 : Kristen Stewart by Mario Testino

The cover's ok, nothing really special. I don't care for Kristen, but I am still glad they are putting different people on their covers.

Wow..this is an all time low for them. Can't believe they put her on the cover. I'm speechless. Was hoping it was all a bad rumor.
 why?. I'm not a fan either but I'm really curious why some are finding it hard to cope with this cover?, I mean, she's an actress.. she's everywhere, she has a slightly distinctive red-carpet style from what I've seen, she's allegedly dating a popular actor and has been featured in serious films (Twilight Saga excluded).. add to this the fact that this is US Vogue.. gone are the days when US Vogue only featured remarkable actresses or successful faces of the modeling industry, I really don't see how Kristen Stewart somehow lowers this more than a cover featuring Jennifer Aniston (who at one point had similar credentials to Kristen and currently plays only shadow of that), or Sienna Miller (who only had the popular boyfriend and wardrobe on her side).. or worse, Melanie Knauss.. who had none of that and actually portrayed more the pre-historic woman that married for money, was beautiful and didn't matter whether she had a brain or not.

Sorry if this sounds dense, the reactions when this was posted got me thinking.

I feel like when it comes to US Vogue or Vogue Paris, sometimes people really lose sight of the current standards and judge based on a reputation of a magazine and an industry that do not exist anymore.

She always looks so uncomfortable, I don't recall seeing a good picture of her.

Clearer cover pic:

ontd

It's a nice cover with the celebrity I like so I'm satisfied :D

She looks so fresh & natural here. And she's always a bit quirky, which I find quite endearing. She deserves this.

dont like the cover very much, but i do like her hair and makeup. excited to see the review...
(and why is she only wearing proenza in her cover and editorial??)

I couldn't agree more.

well this is surprisingly so much better than I expected.
when I saw the tittle of the thread, all i could thought was about a dark and horrible cover and Kristen doing her signature pose and styling, but this one is really fresh and natural.

This image simply does not work for the cover, she doesnt look bad, it just looks like more of a spread shot, than worthy of the cover. The head appears very large in the angle, covering the masthead almost entirely, not something i have seen at US Vogue in a while (no wonder they had to leave the banner out). And her face can look more stunning than this, but i dont mind her being on the cover, even if never seen Twlight or any of her movies. Its someone young, fresh, and not overused, although Elle did get her first.
And like someone pointed out, there have been way less deserving starlets on this cover, grand example was Sienna Miller who got the cover way to early, and without real success behind her. At least Stewart is part of a very successful franchise!

The photos inside the magazine look pretty typical, Kristen nervously playing with her hands (I swear someone should make a collage of these nervous habits) but the cover is actually nice. I like the Proenza Schouler top, and even though the pose is a bit awkward it still ended up OK. Not a fan of the colour combination for the cover though.

her facial expression is so bored, it's almost as if they clicked when she was inhaling
I don't mind that it's her, because....well that's almost expected nowadays,
but I really wish they would have forced her to at least TRY to act like she cared a little

I knew that the cover's gonna turn out nice. I like this one. Kristen looks so natural and finally, she has managed to not look stiff and sick.^_^ Plus what she's wearing on the cover looks good on her. Although I'm a bit bothered with the hairstyle.

Looking forward to the content! :)

I like her aloof expression and am glad they didn't have her smile or grin.

Meh.

But what elates me is next month's issue! We're so close *clenches fists* :D

She makes me really uncomfortable everytime I see
her...this must have been the most draining editorial ever shot
the outfit and hair are the only good things about this
