US Vogue January 2009 : Anne Hathaway by Mario Testino

Why? Why must US Vogue do this to me?? It's like torture! Come on, you're telling me there wasn't ONE person with taste working on this cover who thought...hey that one with the lacy stuff...that could work with our "change" theme. (Ugh! And I love the one with her in Versace. What does it take to get a job in this outfit? This mag needs help .)

^^which one would you think ?!

the first one is actually the cover !
i would like the fourth one ... the look is great ...
but to remember tiggerouge's post in a VP thread ... none of those images have an eye contact with the reader ... which could explain why they've chosen the 1st one ...

^^Those two would be my pick aswell. :ninja: I would go with the shot in Versace, that would make for a beautiful sensual cover.

Second and Fourth would of been my choice..
thanks for posting Miss Dalloway

yeah but the first one is Prada ...
don't you remember the Devil wears Prada ...:lol:
ok that was stupid ...

Its not lol, it looks freakishly the same, but she is wearing a different colour and earrings on the cover.

And the expression on this one with the brown dress is less hideous, so yay US Vogue for choosing the one you chose.

About the content, I miss some Meisel here but glad to here that so many new girls are in this issue.

Thank god for new blood on the cover of Vogue. I like Anne and she is a very talented actress. If it hadn't been her, it would have been her Brides War costar, Hudson and I can't stomach another Kate Hudson Vogue cover

i agree with everyone who said her smile made her look terrible. the only thing i like about the cover is the prada s/s 2009 look, although i think this shot would have been a bit better than the cover one, maybe because of the earrings...(since the face looks exactly the same:ninja:)

I personally LOVE the new red hair on Coco, I think it looks sensational. Sorry about the quality on the last image - it was enlarged from the picture in the article. It is an absolute shame we were not given more images of Coco's hair! :judge:

Thanks, Luxx! Coco looks stunning. Really wish there were more pictures, though.

I like that red hair is always in fashion these days, but maybe that's because it's a new way of showing exclusivity, as it requires serious maintenance to keep it looking fabulous (which shows you have time and money), and a particular sort of pristine pallor (which demonstrates you're 100% white bread and are no stranger to skin treatments).

Of course, if someone's naturally blessed with this hair colour, they often have freckles, which I find immensely charming, but sadly, aren't seen that often in fashion magazines. And skin so pale it's see-through - and in men, instead of sexy black stubble, the spectre of the ginger beard (endemic in Northern Ireland even on brunet men).

Thanks so much for scanning (and removing the text from the cover, lol) this, and the review, great job with enlarging the last shot.Coco looks amazing with red hair, i concur there should have been more shots.^_^

I know someone wanted to know who was on the best dressed list:

Blake Lively
Elettra Wiedemann
Alexa Chung
Anne Hathaway
Laura Jarrett
M.I.A.
Bianca Brandolini
Sonja Van Bebber
Dasha Zhukova
Raquel Zimmermann

Any other pic of Anne would definitely be better for the cover...but I don't even care about US Vogue covers anymore.

Coco's shots are stunning!
