US Vogue June 2019 : Zendaya by Tyler Mitchell

There's almost a little too much room around her...
She looks great, this cover just bores me..

Very jumbled! The makeup looks fresh and almost natural, but the hairdo and dress are glam? Doesn't go together. And then you have the odd backdrop, but with red masthead? Doesn't work for me, I'm afraid. Whereas last month was directional, precise and unapologetic, this month is trying way too hard.

Yikes! What have they done with the contouring of her right breast?

I gotta give a shoutout to @octoberchild for predicting this a few months ago.

You proved me wrong. Anna really is predictable.

It's a decent cover. I love the 20s hairstyle, even though it may be too soon for a Gatsby tribute in 2019. But there's something rather odd about the lighting.

Beautiful portrait, nice ed, but the text placement is off.
Also couldn't care less about this girl, is she gonna get a cover every time a new Spiderman movie is out?!
This time is a new TV series called Euphoria.

The shot with the red dress is fire. Btw, she looks gorgeous as always.

The image itself is nice, but the art direction leaves much to be desired. The Red color, black and white text is confusing me.

Also how “PETE! 3x” was written was a CHOICE.

I don’t get Anna’s fascination with red masthead. Always ruined nice cover images

I also don't mind the cover shot but there is something about how much room there is around Zendaya that irks me so much. They should have either cropped it better or should've gone with another shot. This looks like a red carpet photo indeed.

Lol, I also thought it was for Spider-Man for a second and found myself questioning Vogue’s statement of “her riskiest role yet”. Like what’s so risky about playing MJ Watson?

It feels unfinished. And the sparkle surrounding her makes me expect more make-up.

The shoot is even worse imo and reminds me of the time (a few months back) when Vogue tried to be gritty and indie. There's nothing wrong with your aesthetic, stick to it.
I'm sure the weak link is the photographer here.

Don't mind Zendaya. She looks okay on the cover
So is this Tyler guy the go to photographer to shoot black celebrities now?
Anyone feel weird that how American culture pays this much attention to racial indentity?

Beautiful cover. I like the execution and Zendaya looks gorgeous, but she needs to improve her facial expression, it's a little stranger.
