US Vogue October 2007 : Charlize Theron by Mario Testino

i don't know why i became excited when i saw a new us vogue thread. i'm always dissapointed. she's a great actress but what a bad cover.

i get so sick of seeing doutzen, caroline, sasha, coco and raquel in every bloody issue too.

^yay exactly, i AM still excited about US vogue, but then when i actually see it, it just disppoints me every time (mostly the cover, then the eds). at least i still love the articles in it, otherwise i'd have stopped buying it altogether....

I just realized that I've never actually gone to the movie theater to see any of her movies, in fact the only movie I've seen of hers is Monster. I think this is the reason why I really can't stand actresses on covers, they're not there promoting movies, they're just pimping out their private lives. Just look at all the covers Gwyneth has had since the late nineties, yet she has not had a hit movie in the new millenium, and none of her movies have been well recieved by critics, during this period, either. I think most actresses have more in common with Paris and Nicole than with someone like Julia Roberts or Jodie Foster(who actually drive people to the movies) They're mostly famous for being in mags/tabloids and because they look pretty on the red carpet. Honestly, if you want to be a movie star these days, just practice your red carpet style' so long as you look glamorous and keep getting those covers you'll remain an A-lister, doesn't matter if you haven't had a hit in a decade or ever for that matter(paging Scarlett Johansen). Does anyone remember when people use to fade into oblivion if they didn't produce a hit movie in a while. Gwyneth, Renee, et all should consider themselves lucky times have changed.

Australian Vogue will be using this cover for their December issue, no doubt ! :innocent:

Oh my god

When I saw the title Charlize Theron, I immediately saw the initials CT. For a warped moment, I thought Trentini was on the cover

It's a typical US Vogue cover, but I like it.

:blink::rolleyes:

I swear you write the same thing every time we get a new US Vogue cover with an actress on it.....................................It should be about the cover, not your rants about cover subjects Hollywood status and the state of their career. :innocent:

how can you fault an actress for being in a magazine? Its the people who work for the magazines who choose them. And actors aren't gonna turn down a cover deal I mean of course they're gonna promote their work. They're proud of it.

eeek sorry.
I digress.

man I live in a random *** town
where vogue is the most prominent fashion mag :(
lucky
me

but I wont give up on it!

but when I become an actress Im gonn turn down cover deals
to give them to models and you guys will commend me for it

If Vogue wanted to put yet another celeb on the cover.. they could've atleast come up with a better cover. It's a little too simple.

I don't understand Caroline T. She has thin lips, short, pudgy nose and a pudgy face. She's not able to transform easily for fashion like, say, Sasha P can. God, she is SO BORING

Dear God, that is one of the worst Vogue covers I have seen in a long while. It does look like a Ralph Lauren ad...from 1982. I don't care for Charlize, but better her on the cover than that human pug, Reese. Charlize does take fashion risks, so I applaud her being on the cover.

Of course mags are going to pry into actor's private lives, so what? That is part of the job.

Also, why, if so many hate American Vogue and are dissatisfied with it, why come into the US Vogue thread?

CAROLINE TRENTINI... TIRED TO SEE HER IN VOGUE US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe that she's still as often in Vogue US than Opera Winfrey in her magazine. Maybe the name of the magazine should change and be Trentini's Vogue!

I must be the only one who actually likes the cover. :innocent:

Looking forward to seeing her ed too. Her last Vogue ed was gorgeous.

Picked up a copy tonight on the way home, I will scan after I finish scanning this month's Bazaar, hope thats alright with everyone ^_^

Thank you! One quick question! Is the editorial with Sasha and Caroline in the studio or have we got a real location for once?
