M.i.A would have been a much better subject. Nothing against her but Testino loves to retouch the hell out of a woman. After her amazing Interview story, this is so lackluster

Like the idea, but not the execution. A couple of the shots in the ed are pretty cool.

MIA is a one hit wonder.. Winona is an icon.

^ This is irrelevant but what? M.I.A. is an icon herself, love it or hate it.

Anyways I love this cover so much (even if the photoshop is a bit drastic). Love the colors and styling. So glad to see the renewed interest in Winona!

She looks absolutely mental. Airbrushing her into a state of featurelesss plasticity did not help. Awful cover.

Shame… this could have been really interesting. instead she looks silly and almost unrecognizable due to the airbrushing. why do they insist on ridding these lovely faces of all of their personality.

Would buy it if it was M.I.A on the cover! Winona is pretty but the styling is horrible and the photography is so fake

OMG, this is 1000x worse than what they did to Winslet on the cover of Vogue!!! I'm just shocked what they done to her face, shocked!

She is one of those stars that aged sooo incredibly amazing, and we should all be so lucky, so the fact Testino and V team airbrushed her into lifeless alien, makes me sooo mad they get my middle finger!

I actually like the edit, but the cover pose is so awkward. I actually think its intentional given how crazy her eyes are throughout the story

It is strange to take someone so beautiful and make them look nothing like themselves.

That said I'm just happy to see that Winona is still getting this kind of top tier cover stuff without really being everywhere. She just pops up when she has a movie to promote and then disappears when she doesn't - if only all celebrities understood that absence makes the heart grow fonder.

It's pretty cool - really captures her increasingly bizarre gaze.

I think it's strong, actually. It's the kind of cover you will look back on with time and understand it's appeal more and more.

i like it, she still manages to shine despite the extreme photoshop
