Valentino S/S 2011 : Caroline Brasch-Nielsen, Freja Beha, & Julia Saner by David Sims

Ew...... david sims... plz... It's so boring.

Can someone hand me a blanket please??, im about to fall asleep...

she looks so s l o w.:ermm: lol if that was the intent.
 I kinda agree when I see the facial expression and also there is something off about all that stuff going on around her left hand, is it the design of the couch? Also it is too dark and makes me think the room smells either smells musty or like mothballs,

BUT I do like the dress and the effortlessness of the pose.

I seem to remember a Valentino press release that was promoting a girlish aesthetic for the brand... that shot isn't a bad way to go about it.

why on earth would they want that for the brand though? when has Valentino ever been about girly designs? I'm not well studied on their brand, so if anyone knows I would really like to know. I just can't see Valentino being so young and that seems to be where they are really pushing to take the brand in the future.

When Valentino first started out the label appealed to young women (20s and 30s) and basically the clientele and the designer aged together. To me, it looks like quite a few items from the recent collections are inspired by Garavani's work in the early 70s.

As I said in Julia's thread, I don't think that shot shows her beauty too well. And I'm not too convinced do far, but then again, maybe it's because of my New Valentino prejudice.

Will wait to see the whole thing, can't wait to see Caroline's set too.

I love this! The innocence works here as well as the vintage vibe. It should be interesting to see Freja and Caroline personality come through in their shots.

Knowing the direction the collection went, the campaign is PERFECT regarding showcasing the collection. I personally love it and I'm becoming an even bigger fan of the way the way the brand is going. This campaign just adds to why I love where Valentino is going. What's better than having the oh so youthful, beautiful, and decadent Julia Saner just "chillin'" in her decadent Paris apartment, no? I'm definitely sold on this.

i kind of like it. its a very soft side of valentino. love hows its in black and white

Um...her facial expression. Looks like someone stole her brain & forgot to give it back so she's paralysed until further notice. No, thank you.

Julia was one of my fave new girls this seasons, but she does look a bit SLOW. hahaha may be better irl.

It looks pretty, feminine, and effortless...maybe a bit too effortless? If I were to see this picture in a magazine, I could totally imagine myself turning the page in slow motion. I kind of see what other people mean when they say this ad looks slow, lol.

great for julia, i really like it. it's a beautiful shot.

I hate Julia's expression, she looks dull. But i love the atmosphere, really pretty.
