Valentino F/W 12.13 : Caroline, Frida & Monika by Deborah Turbeville

I feel it insipid and boring though it shows the Valentino aesthetic. All the girls look beautiful but so what?

I prefer last season ads, but I like the romanticism and peace of these images. Suits the brands actual aesthtetic perfectly.

it looks like a Dolce & Gabbana campaign, or what a Dolce campaign should look like. They look as though they're all holding secrets from one another

The shots are not particularly boring but ... haven't I seen this a couple of seasons ago? The same setting, same shots, same atmosphere. It even makes the clothes look interchangeable.
At least the house shows consistency in their cast and that's something to give credit for at least in my opinion.

What a beautiful campaign despite the fact that it has the same concept as with previous seasons' campaigns. The setting is particularly gorgeous and the models mesh well together.

It looks a bit unnatural to me. Maybe it's the styling or the poses. It definitely makes the clothing look good, which is what it should be achieving.

Full campaign, better quality than originally posted

I love Deborah Turbeville, but there is something fake about this. I don't know why as last season, Valentino was my favourite ad campaign, but this feels flat. The setting is great and love all the models, but i am not feeling any romance or drama, that i normally do from a Valentino campaign.

That's exact what I thought. I don't know what's wrong in this ad campaign. Maybe the models did't give it all or maybe it's just because I really had my expectation on it.

They are all trying too hard... that's why. Could have been worse tho.

It is a good campaign, not the best one but it definetely is selling me on the clothing.

I think I like the previous Valentino campaign a little more (also shot by Turbeville). There's such a quiet nature to the campaign that I almost think the background is too loud, if that makes sense.

The video is much, much better than the print campaign. All three girls look lovely in motion. Caroline really steals the show.

I guess what bothers me about this campaign, is that the girls all look so clean and that's why they don't fit in with the backgrounds. I feel like if they looked a little out of focus or the photos looked dingy maybe this would look better. It just looks too clean and glossy for it to be Deborah's work.

The styling and setting is nice, though the models are posing in a way which feels quite lifeless. Such a pity.
