For their Spring 2011 ad campaign, Valentino’s Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli tapped three of the hottest models of the moment—Freja Beha Erichsen, Caroline Brasch Nielsen, and Julia Saner—to showcase their gossamer-light collection. David Sims shot the black-and-white images in Valentino Garavani’s Place Vendôme home—what the designers call “a poetic and ultra-chic Paris setting.” It is Sims’ second campaign for the house.

“These dreamy black-and-white shots show three different beauties, each with something unique,” Chiuri and Piccioli explain to Style.com. “This is a very feminine, stylish campaign, with a light, playful twist that reveals the Spring 2011 collection’s airy atmosphere and captures the brand’s lifestyle. In cinematic style, we wanted to tell the stories of three different women enjoying private moments in the comfort of their homes.”

Above, an exclusive first look at Saner in the new campaign.

I like it, it's a bit dull, but so is the brand as a whole now...but I can't tell if it's Freja or Julia?

edit: First of all what kind of woman sits around the house dressed like that? Second of all you can't call them women if they're 16.

Julia  , I love her in that picture and I know I'll love them in the rest. I'm loving this season.

Boring use the same style

Freja will be in that campaign as well?! This is definitely her season, campaign-wise.

This shot doesn't really look like a campaign yet. I definitely need to see more. The description sounds nice.

But ads are hardly ever meant to reflect real life.. more of a fantasy.
It also doesn't look like that could be her house, she's still carrying her clutch so I'm thinking she just got there.. hence the 'look at that' look.

I like what I see. And that dress is so photogenic.. every time I see it, it just looks like such a delicious thing to wear .. the shape certainly makes it slightly child-like (more 60s imo), which seems to horrify some people here but I for one think it's a look that can be lovely from time to time.

So beautiful. Light and delicate, but feels very luxurious. And thankfully they gave Caroline a chance to star in a campaign; shes always featured heavily in their runway shows, its about time! :)

Like it. Beautiful and soft.
Wanna see Caro's shot asap!

For what Valentino is these days this ad is pretty. Pretty.

I seem to remember a Valentino press release that was promoting a girlish aesthetic for the brand... that shot isn't a bad way to go about it.

she looks so s l o w.:ermm: lol if that was the intent.

Valentino women don't live fast :p

This is beautiful and one of the rare ads in which my eyes went immediately to the clothes.

This photo incorporates two things that I love being used in fashion: uncontrived scenes (or at least contrived to look uncontrived) and runway looks being worn in a real environment.
I like it a lot so far.
