I don't know why but I can't say it's that bad after all, I would have liked to see maybe Christy Turlington but I can't tell you exactly why. Loli is on her third Versace campaign in a row, I don't know if it's Piergiorgio, Donatella or the photographers, but in my opinion she doesn't work very well with this brand.

Donatella is a follower, so she just accepts input from her close one and PGDM is one of her closest. Furthermore, Loli is kinda a conventionally attractive / beautiful version of Julia Nobis and you know the fashion pack is obsessed with these effortless carefree girls who always look bored / unable to express any feeling through their faces...they think it's "high fashion"...
I was actually surprised she did not appear either at Elie Saab show in Riyadh or Victoria's Secret, PGDM would put her even in a lingerie show (looking at you Rianne)

What could be a decent campaign is ruined by awful modeling. Mona will never be a good print model. She is great on runway but just flat when photographed. Loli looks dead as usual. This girl has zero charisma.

A mess. The models are terrible. I hate the bad posture pose.

They wasted a beautiful collection. These clothes needed more movement, not this dead statue vibe.

Yes but I don't understand why for example he didn't put Angelina Kendall, his favorite since Rianne and after. Piergiorgio probably wants to create an iconic duo and for this reason he always suggests her

I love this ad campaign. The casting is great. The colors, patterns, and details are fabulous. It is a great Versace collection. I am getting Meisel vibes but I also see Mert and Marcus. I hope these ads make it to print after a two season break!

The weird casting doesn't help either! Mona elevates this and promises something in the first photo of that post, then you keep sliding and it gets progressively worse, the last two models in particular, especially that Jacqui girl, what is that pout, is she even trying or just '😵‍💫🥴'? hate it when they cast haircuts and not models who are actually captivating and making an effort to sell some fantasy and the actual product.

I will say... that long-sleeved purple dress with the red tights is a killer combo. Kind of really want red tights now.

With campaigns the brand/art director/stylist tend to have more say than the CD - Versace clearly just loves Loli a lot!

Mert & Marcus have already attempted to recapture the magic of Richard Avedon's Versace campaigns, so I'm not at all surprised to see them channel Steven Meisel here. Oddly enough I don't mind the sight of this, despite the campaign imagery coming across as anything but quintessential Versace. The mood of the campaign complements the mood of the collection.

I genuinely enjoy the clothes and overall mood of the campaign but PG needs to be ousted immediately for his recent casting choices for Versace. This forced push for new faces feels painfully cringe for a house like Versace. He’s no Ashley and never will be, this chaotic experiment needs to stop now.
