Versace S/S 2026 Milan

why do the people with degrees, exposition to archives, years of experience and close proximity to design legends do this?
Everything handed on a (Versace) plate for him and he still manages to create the biggest piece of sh*t ever. It goes to show that taste and sensibility matters. This guy just don't get it. He thinks he does because he's well read but truly he don't.

I wouldn't be surprised if he stays because this feels like Versace through a Miu Miu lens.

Even the flowery and intense invitation letter sounds made to please more someone like Miuccia than any potencial Versace customer.

I don't know. Still trying to understand what I saw.

I would not be surprised either; it's clearly an adaptation of Versace codes aimed at the Miu Miu customers, and it might work for this demographic.
Gianni's and Donatella's legacy is an afterthought in this commercial process of brand repositionning, which usually takes 3/4 shows minimum.

What I don't know is, if Prada will accept to develop a direct competitor to their most successful brand.

They could develop a strong "Miu Miu mens" through Versace.

And also apply similar strategies to Versace to make it boom.

Really, if I could, I'd rather be right now in Miuccia's head than in Donatella's.

But what were they cheering for in the videos ? Some things I liked and would buy and wear (do not come for me TFS !!!), but the way it was presented felt so dusty. Something about the looks makes me itch and sneeze because they look dusty. But again, what was cheer-worthy about this ?

Im less shocked by the clothes than by the lack of sex appeal. Where are the bombshell and the sexy guys? Why the men looks like Borat and the women like Lady Gaga as Patricia Gucci?
He didn’t think about the brand unfortunately. Which is a pity because I see the inspiration and the clothes in womenswear in particular aren’t that terrible.

They should have styled the collection on mannequins, have a show presentation and not held the show.

Such a terrible debut hurt the brand and when Prada will buy the house and fire the guy, what would it mean for Versace?

It’s a pity. I hope he didn’t take a bow because the nerve!
