Versace S/S 2026 Milan

Prada is gonna ruin this brand for half a decade then sell it off, aren’t they. Then they’ll turn into another identity lacking Helmut Lang or Jil Sander situation.

I was initially hopeful that Prada might have a positive influence on the company as well, that maybe things would be different considering the 2000s was 2 entire decades ago. I guess not.

f*cking hell this is as sexless as a crematorium. Having your Grindr torso men with the tightest padded bulges is pathetic and corny.

I don't even understand the casting, the space and the styling. There's these Raf at Calvin Klein colour blocking, Hedi Slimane YSL men's, Pharrell at LV western schticks, current Celine by Rider, NYFW cast of confusion. It's absolutely atrocious. Vitale, I'm sorry but you're really sh*t.

Ok ngl I’m living for how polarizing this collection is!

They just uploaded all the looks on Vogue Runway, and while some ideas are not my cup of tea I actually appreciate the irony of tapping in to the 80’s era which in theory was not a sexy decade for Versace.

And while there wasnt much sex appeal let’s say for a few pretty nice dresses I really do love some of the embellished looks near the end which will definitely still draw a Donatella era client.

It’s weird how much I love how ironic and un-Versace this is.

I might be as bold to state that this is the Marc Jacobs for Perry Ellis Grunge collection of the 2020’s and I will expect lots of negative reactions from this statement!

I would LOVE for you to be right. But this has no such personality to claw onto.

Versace on the floor flop era. Feel so bad for Donatella girl. You know this is the new low when you can see more “Gianni” and “bad taste” in Ghesquiere’s works for LV than anything here.

We really live in times of creative crisis.

This Versace collection blatantly borrows from riders mess at Celine. Dario also raided the archives, but as shadows. I find this collection so dumb, and not in a hot dumb way. All these CDs are living the same life, the same music, the same guilty pleasures. It’s so bizarre to me. All insults in this thread are valid, there are no redeeming qualities to be found.

To the shredder, include his contract.

Actually, I've just browsed the VR images too. There are a few things I like:
The guys' boots are cool.
Some dresses are alright but not groundbreaking, it's very visible he's coming from Prada.
The portrait prints could've been spun a bit more I believe.
Not sure of I'd gone as far as a Perry Ellis revolution situation in this case... Phelps says it's gutsy. Well... maybe. But I am not sure how much it makes sense...especially with those badly cut crotches.

Ooh, Miss Vitale has the gals worked up in these parts. They are not happy. Giggles!

I enjoy: it’s ugly, strange, gutsy and makes me curious enough to want to walk into a Versace store — something I haven’t done in over 15 years.

I find myself dissecting the outfits, questioning taste, execution and intention. Focussed on the fashion and tuning in to a distinct and personal point of view. The casting becomes secondary; I’m not obsessing over Alexina this or Lollipops that.

The designer in centre stage again. Polarisingly, boldy, fiercely so. The games have truly begun.

I always thought that the very worst that could happen in any attempt at reviving Versace is to take all the Versace-isms and clichés, like the Warhol prints, orotons, leather, cowboy buckles, Rococo tropes etc, and imposing them on whatever silhouettes feel of-the-moment. This would be uninspired and lazy. And the more serious question is, what happens after you go through all the clichés?

This collection is precisely the worst that could happen.

feels like that neighborhood in rome, kinda trashy, near the train station, filled with vintage shops -- one has a bright red painted basement, you'd find things like this, honestly the models look cool to me-- i can really see them all in an editorial for M or Holiday etc. it's sweaty 1980s italy

It's colorful, it's not sex-less like so much now, its kitschy
