Vertiginous Platforms F/W 06.07 & S/S 07

i just don't know what to think. I can't walk in heel so i am S O L when it comes to these shoes. I just don't think I would like them anyway. I guess i'll always be a function over form type when it comes to shoes.

it may be hard to walk in them, but i so heart the chloe and mcqueen ones. plus the hussein chalayan ones were nice too.

i predict a LOT of broken and sprained ankles...

:innocent:...

This trend is like...Jessica Simpsons meets The Spice Girls...just fugly!

^ Oh please no.... What do they even have to do with these shoes...... ? I am thinking CHIC, elegant platforms, not the ugly looking circa mid 90s popular platforms..... :yuk:

These are the kind of shoes we will look back in a years time and think wtf was i thinking??

Very fashion victim-y imho.

I find the Marc Jacobs shoes very tacky......I doubt I would ever look at them twice if they weren't Marc Jacobs. I love the feathered McQueen wedge (though I don't think I'd ever wear them), and the sensible-ish S/S Chloe wedge. I'm not much a heel person, and the deep foot arch in the new Chloe's would kill me. =P

I don't get the infatuation with the Chloe ones (as already expressed by several tFS-ers)... why not buy the original Viv Westwood ones, which are prettier and more distinctive than Chloe's...?

Other than this, I find some of them to be really fun to wear... and according to my experience with vertiginous shoes, most of the times they are not too hard to walk in... the heavy heel balances the height....

omg i saw agree hun

The plaforms that came in the 90s were ******* ugly . In the late 70s , the platforms that came out were just sexy , they were wooden or in patent leather and they had a sexy tapered block heel ,very sexy , i use to wear em with slinky dresses.

The platforms on the F/W are not working for me.. too clunky in my opinion.

I can walk in heels, but my god, these are hideous! They remind me of the mid/late-90's cheap and chunky heels. And they don't look comfortable at all. which is ok sometimes as long as their cute, but these just aren't

I love the wood on the Chloe ones, and the patent ones. If these were a bit lower, I'd love to get some.

The Chloe ones are great and the Prada ones seem to be the easiest to walk in. But the rest...I can't even begin to imagine how I would walk in such clunky shoes.

Out of curiousity, when will the Chloe ones be available?

those boots are thigh-highs! :woot:
GAHHHH! they all look like rip offs of what John Fluevog started in the 80's and is still doing today! my goth days have finally stumbled onto the runway. Hell has frozen over. But really, check out fluevog.com and compare. it's kinda silly, the similiarities.

luckyme - i believe they are currently available...i've seen some on ebay the past few weeks.

i have a pair of patent leather wedges...that make me look too tall but that happen to be surprisingly comfortable. ^_^
