Victoria Traina was born into a legendary family. Her mother is a best-selling novelist Danielle Steel who passed on her glamorous genes and extensive couture collections to her daughters. All are now separately making statements in the fashion industry on both coasts. Victoria came to New York about five years ago and cultivated acclaim for her style from Vogue, Vanity Fair, Elle and Teen Vogue. She helped to develop collection of a close friend Alexander Wang and has been one of the obvious muses to the Proenza Schouler brand. At only 23, she already developed a strong following (Traina is a 2006 Dress of the Year nominee) and expect to keep hearing her name for years to come.
Place of Birth: San Francisco, CA
Astrological Sign: Virgo
Favorite thing about living in New York: There is always something new and exciting to do at all hours of the day.
Favorite Designers: Proenza Schouler, Nicholas Ghesquire, Christian Lacroix Couture, Elber Albaz and Olivier Theyskens.
Favorite Travel Locations: Napa, Portofino, Sardinia, Paris and anywhere where I can relax and hang out with my sisters.
Favorite Films: Casablanca and The Secretary
Something simple that I love: Cooking dinner for my friends.
Favorite New York people: My dog Tallulah, she is amazing, and my soon to be favorite New York person is my sister Vanessa - she is moving here next spring!!
Music that energizes you: The Rolling Stones, Jay-Z and anything on one of the mixes I make regularly for myself and my friends.
Restaurants that you can’t get enough of: Babbo and Bread!
The most important moment of my life has been… I have many important moments to come…
Something no one would guess about me is that I… know how to skateboard and my close friends and family call me Toto (it’s a nickname that has stuck since I was a baby).
If I could live in someone else’s biography it would be… Everyone has baggage… prefer to carry my own. I love my life the way it is!

The family photo is really elegant. Can anyone identify everyone in it? Are they all siblings?

Love her! Thanks for the pics and profile:flower:

Christina, I believe they are step-siblings and spouses? I think only Vanessa and Victoria are full sisters, I could be wrong.

Yes Christina126 from lef to right:Beatie,Victoria,Beatie's husband,Zara,Danielle Steel,Samantha,Maxx and Vanessa Traina. all are her siblings except Beatie that is her stepsister and are missing her other two stepbrothers Trevor and Todd.
Thank soooo much India by the profile.:flower:

I really wish there were more pictures of her, I love her style.. She must be more private than her sister (Vanessa)

i too wish there were more pics...
i live in san francisco and it seems like she (and her sister) are hardly ever here, except when her mom throws the ball in honor of nick traina...
hopefully with fashion week coming up soon, we'll see more of her...

thanks for the profile india...:flower:

yes you're right about seeing her more now with fashion week! She usually attends the after parties as well:heart: :woot:

I always wonder what she wears during the day, because she seems so polished in the evenings that I can't really imagine her in anything super-casual. With her love for fashion and her generous clothing allowance, I would assume she really dresses herself up for each and every possible occasion. I know I would were I in her situation. :):):)

I'm always consistantly impressed by her answers and thoughts in interviews. I love that line 'everyone has baggage...i prefer to carry my own' so true and eloquent

^me too I loved that:flower: And you're right Meg, I love reading her interviews because she doesn't seem shallow at all. She's one of the few young "stars" I would like to hang out with^_^

It is difficult not to sound shallow when answering questions about high fashion, but Victoria answers each question with intelligence and grace, and I definitely admire her sensibilities.

BTW, I love that entire black and white collection of photos from socialiterank.com.
