Here's some more authentic items I found at a very lovely web site called http://www.vintagetextile.com

This jacket is really amazing. I love how the chantilly falls over a relatively structured sleeve.

c. 1893 made by the House of Worth(those who are aware, know this house was perhaps the most famous of that period)

^ those are simply beautiful, scott, especially the child's outfit. I love those colours and the stitching. vintagetextile is a great site, thanks for sharing it here ^_^

That's my fave as well  It's amazing the craftsmanship even in children's clothes. The tailoring is something one might only see in an adult's garmet. If that look were transformed in a different variation with the shirt,I would so do it myself!

You're welcome :flower:

i was at anthropologie this week and the store was filled with it. everything was beautiful but very hip.

All of those authenticly victorian and edwardian pieces are amazing. :woot:

for those who are unsure about trying this look and don't want to spend too much money, h&m actually has some cheap&cheerful victorian and edwardian inspired things at the moment, including a beautiful black chiffon/black velvet empire waisted dress that is terribly edwardian...sadly it fit me a bit funny but I think it'd be beautiful on someone else.
