Viktor & Rolf for H&M

I got myself the black men's coat, not the trench, but the other one, sailor inspired. Here in Rotterdam there was massive hysteria, especially since Viktor & Rolf are dutch I guess ( dutchies rule! Go Viktor, Go Rolf, Go Doutzen, Go Yfke ), and by this afternoon the store was sold out except for a few items. But it was still busy as hell. This is a marvelous day for dutch fashion, YAY

There was mass kick off in liverpool as they didnt stock any of it ... i kicked off my self and saw loads of other people doing the same... was going shopping anyways so not like id gone espesially.. but some people had :(

Snagged a few pieces at the karl johan store in Oslo. There was a constant buzz in the v and r section but nowhere near hysteria. I was there at 10.30 and the smaller sizes for the men's stuff were already running out. My favorite piece was the black peacoat but I didn't get it cos I'll be moving back to a tropical climate at the end of the year. Don't think I can get much wear in 2months.

I ended up with the arrows print shirt which looks less 70s when layered under a sweater or cardi. I also got the embroided brown cords and the ruffled vest. Wanted to get the argyle sweater too but they had already run out of small. The jeans would be great if not for the horrible black fabric panels and trimmings. Also the mens trench looks rather poorly made with bits of string coming out from many of the pieces.

i planned on going then changed my mind. i'll have to crowd with ppl who wear lot's of h&m. not a very nice thought. and chances are, the small sizes will be gone. even the fat ppl buy it. and they look like overstuffed sausges. face it. you're fat!go get big sizes and the leave the smaller ones for ppl who will actually look good in it. oh..and do us all a favour. don't wear it! such an eye sore.

once, i was in a lecture hall, this huge girl was wearing a black and white stripe sweater. <dior did the 60's mod look with blaCK and white HORIZONTAL stripes....> it was during that season, that dorothy perkins/miss selfridge copied it.without the rips of course. and this girl wore a tight one. probably couldn't find a size..anyway she looked terrible and the stripes were HUGE!!! and horizontal! get a mirror!

:p  :stuart:

I'm also a little disapointed because my expectations were quite high. I really like Viktor & Rolf but I'm just not too happy with their H&M collaboration. Too many hearts, hideous t-shirts and the shoes looked quite cheap. I also think the quality of the items is not really good whereas most items from Stella's line were ok.

It went to our biggest H&M here at around 11:30 and most items in small sizes were already sold out and they didn't even try to restock. I would have liked to try on the knit dress with the belt to see what it looks like irl but there was only one left in a large. I was even able to grab the last beige trench in a size 4 but didn't end up buying it. I tried it on but there was something weird about either the fabric or shape. Or maybe it just didn't look good on me as I'm probably too small for this kind of coat. I liked the high waisted black tulip skirt but then again didn't buy it because I wasn't sure if I would wear it that much.

Ok, items I did actually buy: The black short sleeved twisted knit top that I plan on wearing over a plain long sleeve shirt. And the black silk cardi top with bow.

I'm kinda glad that I didn't find too many items that I liked. Better for my wallet ;-)

Do you think guys there`s still anything left in cph? I wanted to go to H&M in the morning to get the t-shirt with hearts and maybe a skirt, but couldn`t because of a stupid meeting  :p But I suppose now there`s nothing left :(

it's not a loss. i saw the stuff they had in their advert..nothing worthy of my money and sister.

I just saw images of the 'riots' at H&M here in Holland, how was the battlefield, guys? :p

gonna go check out the toronto opening in an hour

in general, was the sizing as off as it was for stella? i.e. way too big

i went to my local H&M and left with nothing i wasnt impressed and the prices were far to high for the plainess of the collection imo.

the tights would have been nice to have but they had sold out. although there was alot of the mens stuff left i dont think the men of newcastle realised there was mens stuff or perhaps they just didnt care:lol:

like Jutta and miss60, I also bought the black knitdress. As I went to the HM in Tampere at 9:05, and there were quite a few women grabbing every piece they could, and nothing left on the racks, but when the masses went to the fitting rooms, the sales persons brought out some more clothes :)

I was a little dissapointed too. The clothes were basically beautiful, but they all had some parts that i didn´t like.

yeah the cheap looking ruffels ruined a lot of the dresses and shirts. :(

also one of the reasons why i didnt get the trench is cause im gonna see 10 girls wearing them on the streets of my city.. not so original after that. i think it was their best hit since so many gals here on tsf have got it.

Ugh, can someone who bought stuff tell me how does the sizing go for the silk shirt with hearts in front? My friend got me a size 12. And I thought it was a UK size 12 but it's a US size 12. :(

i really wanted the trench coat but when i tried it on, it just looked ridiculous and made my legs look really short so i was dissapointed by that.

i got the men's arrow jumper/sweater in the smallest size i could. it's cute.

everything in this collection looked so much better in the ads, what a shame...
