Vogue Australia February 2017 : Amanda Seyfried by Emma Summerton

it looks like demure version of GQ cover and ed...I kinda like it

Hhhmm....I dunno. Amanda looks great, but this is not really the style of Vogue Australia nor Emma Summerton. As such, I'm a bit confused. But kudos to them for trying something different.

My goodness, I actually thought that this was a Vogue India cover/thread. And the fact that the word "Australia" was covered did not help at all.

I don't know what's happening to VA. Things were so great one day, and went so bad the next. This is no exception. It looks so forced, both the cover and the editorial. That cover shot is so bad. My goodness.

Wake up.

She looks very Miu Miu-ish....
good!

Indeed !!! OMG the layout and the fonts are vey Vogue India, plus the image is not Vogue worthy and the story is very boring.

^ That should have been on the cover over the homewrecker.

This feels like W coverstory she did awhile ago. Vogue Australia takes a L for this. What is Amanda even promoting?

Amanda looks great, but this doesn't feel very Vogue Australia to me.

Very happy to see Jacquelyn, love the edit. I agree with HeatherAnne, that should've been the cover.

what the hell is happening over at the VA offices? In Kirstie's last full year, 2011, 10/12 covers had models on them. We're lucky to get 3 a year nowadays. I initially liked how McCann freshened up the art direction, and they were really on a roll with fonts, and now it's gone backwards. Amanda is an extremely beautiful woman, and some of her Miu Miu shots are model worthy, but this image is awkward and not very Vogue at all. Not looking good for 2017.

I don't quite know what's going on with the art direction of this edition. The one month it's centered, the next we have what you see here. I get that she's trying different things, but maybe just stick with one for 65 months to truly see how it fares.

The content is absolutely terrible. Nothing interesting at all. Can't believe I spent $8.50 on that.

Atrocious cover and cover story, and can't even remember the last time Vogue Australia had a decent cover. Amanda Seyfried's recent November cover of Allure was way better than this. However, as everyone else has mentioned, Nicole Bentley's feature saves this issue. It's wonderful!

I wish Edwina would let Nicole Bentley shoot more main covers instead of just supplements. Her work captures the essence of Vogue Australia imo. I mean, it's clearly not an issue of budget if they can afford the likes of Summerton or Olins. Besides, the Bentley is as masterful outside of the studio as she is inside!
