Vogue Australia October 2013 : Cara Delevingne by Benny Horne

I just have to b*tch though, that I'm getting sick of my Vogue subscription arriving days after it's appeared in the local newsagents. And subscribers miss out on free nail polish! Vogue arrives late, AND no freebies. I don't feel special as a subscriber anymore. Plus, I subscribed again right when they stopped doing subscriber copies. *sniff* *hhhhmmmph!* *foot stamp!*

Strange, as a subscriber I've always gotten my issues days before they hit newsstand. And I do agree about the freebies, reward your subscribers!

Aren't subscribers actually the ones who pay less? That said, they ''deserve'' less than others, especially when the magazine is being brought to their homes.
I always get to see subscribers complaining on various magazines' Facebook pages and I'm always like what? :D Always thinking they're soo special :)

And to note - nothing personal, DelicateFlower, I'm just saying. :)

Hair and makeup by Daren Borthwick and Victoria Baron is gorgeous on Generation Next. I'm not usually wild about Centenera's styling, but both of her pieces are killer. Solid issue. Back on track after a lackluster September issue.

They deserve more than others because they are loyal customers, they have paid for an entire year's issues. On the other hand, there's no guarantee that someone who'll buy this issue on the newsstand will also buy next month's and so on. That having been said, nail polishes and gifts like that are put in there to attract more buyers, but this practice doesn't help the magazine in the long run as it won't create a solid readership.

No prob Srdjan. Even as I was writing out my little vent, I thought to myself, 'Well I'm paying less than people who are buying it month by month still, so, yay I guess?'

HOWEVER: When there are good freebies, its like, dammit! I don't care when it's just yet another tote bag, but when it's something actually half decent like makeup or a notepad, I wants one too. :( I'm also a sucker for the little notepad freebies, I have a small collection of ones from Vogue and Harpers. Never have to buy notepads again, yay!

Even more irritatingly though, from a collector's point of view, is when they don't include special fashion report booklets etc with the subscriber edition, just the newsstand edition. A few months ago there was a Vogue 'Weddings' special mag that came with the newsagent copies, but I didn't get one. :(

I subscribed to support the magazine re. long term projected earnings - it would be nice to not miss out on everything.

They can keep their tote bags though, free tote bags with magazines turn me off buying them nowadays, I just throw them out, I've got enough of them!

How come a boring and tired catalogue is allowed to be posted this forum? Oh...

^ It is because, as your signature indicates, you hate Cara. Because your comment made ZERO sense.
