Vogue Brazil May 2011 : Kate Moss by Mario Testino

the whole cover is an ad for Marios site lol, nicely done!

Testino done the nude concept better with Claudia Schiffer for German Vogue. Now that's what I would brand classy and sophisticated. Don't get me wrong, I love myself some Kate. But I can't get away with those tattoos.

This is beautifully epic. I want this like right now and that's saying something.

Everything's class above the áss, and then the tattoos bring it down.

um Vogue Brazil's best cover to date  after all the cover's she's done so far this year her best one is of her with no clothes one:lol:

The cover is stunning and has got to be some of her best work in recent years, but with it being Mario and he's shot her in so many different situations and concepts i feel it gets alittle same-y and it reminds me so much of this shot.

I'm a bit indifferent to her *** on the cover, maybe because I'm more used seeing her t*ts all over the place. She looks great anyways.

very unexpected cover shot, at least to me. I love it, she looks great! the layout is quite bad, though.
kate hasn't been the most interesting model lately, but I think this editorial is going to be an exception. I hope she smiles again, huh?
can't wait to buy it! :woot:

I wasn't expecting cover like this, that's something different and unusual and I like but not crazy about it. Can't wait to see her editorial.
I want to get the issue, does anyone know where is it possible to buy Vogue Brasil online?

Amazing cover... OMG, I can't wait to have this edition in my hands!!! :woot:

Kate looks very beautiful on the cover, I like the hairstyle.

Everything's class above the áss, and then the tattoos bring it down.

Precisely.

Personally, this reminds me of when Testino shot Natalia Vodianova for UK Vogue, her nips barely covered by a couple of letters on the cover. Nudity, male or female, is just not something I want to see where I don't expect it, and I don't expect it on the cover of (a) Vogue. Bare women is something I expect will be tucked away on the top shelf of the newsstand where I don't need to look at it except at will.

I think it totally makes sense to show her a** on the cover of Vogue Brazil. Of course, because it was fashionably-tastefully done.

I've never understood what is so "fashionable" about the nude body, except that it serves as a good clothes hanger, or what makes nudity (whether it be partial or full) "tasteful" for that matter. Just because your nude in a fashion magazine rather than Slitz doesn't make it any more "tasteful". Certainly in practice the difference is marginal at most.

I like the cover overall - the layout, the colors, the shot of Kate - but it's hard to appreciate it when that @ss is in your face. I also like the 'splash' of red, but the fact that it's a lipstick mark quickly ruins it.

I'm afraid I'm not too fond of this cover. Not that nudity shocks me but Kate's tattoos are pretty horrible to look at.

I didn't say nudity in general is fashionable, I said I think they made it in a fashionable manner, which is different. You can make a statement with nudity, Kate started her career having to take her clothes off and has done that a zillion times, as well as many other models for many other fashion magazines. Besides, she is a fashion icon (despite how banal that word became), so she already makes a fashion statement by herself, IMO. Sometimes it's just more about the mood, the person's look, the meaning that person has, than about an especific piece of clothing. Although she does sell those bracelets. I like how they stand out.

But well, I don't have any problem with nudity. I don't feel offended, I think a naked body can be beautiful, that's how we are naturally, and one can make it look p*rn, soft-port, banal (e.g. Terry Richardson) or one can make just a beautiful image which is also sexy, but not necessarily sexual. Not that sex is a problem either - especially being Vogue Brazil.

Also, I don't get the problem with her a**. Is it because I'm brazilian and used to the appeal as*es have here? I don't even have interest in women's as*es. We see her t*ts everywhere, as someone pointed out, so why not change the focus a little bit? It just makes so much sense for me. And I do like the tattoo.

Totally agree with thiago about the layout though, and god the people they highlighted... You don't put Niemeyer, Caua Reymond and Mayana Moura on the same line.

I like this shot, because of its modern Odalisque portrait feeling and Kate looks absolutely stunning. It's great to see her facing the photographer instead of making that head up pose she's been sporting lately.
However, the text disturb me, IMO it kinda ruins the magic of the shot; and the lipstick should've been elsewhere, because it looks a bit like a tatoo on Kate's back.
