Vogue France June/July 2022 : Raquel Zimmermann by Théo de Gueltzl

Put some of the money saved by not buying any of these magazines into an actual Mediterranean holiday and have a million more inspirational experiences than looking through the pages of these low-effort titles which - save for the wilting cover stories - will amount to a bunch of photocopied pages from one issue to another, of editorials that you wouldn't look twice at in the first place.

Raquel's ed is too... Orange. The styling neither bad nor good.

Adut's ed is all over the place. Mica is for me the worst one : the hair, the make up and the styling are a catastrophe.

The Miss Vogue in Marseille bores me. Like Vogue France only knows Normandie and Marseille so far...

The jewelry editorial will never match the ones VP did all these years.

Oh I assumed that they will publish these 3 Eds in all 3 editions. Sorry sight. All these just looks like a person who was rich back in a day, lived as a high lifer, now squandered a fortune and forced to save and pretending that he is just started to love minimalism to not lose social status in the eyes of others. This is Zara catalog at best. And Zara shootings spoiled a lot last years

Raquel's cover story looks like it was lifted from UK Bazaar.

These edits really highlight how dreadful a lot of designer's fashions actually are. These are some god awful clothes in these shoots, I'm losing lot of faith in fashion right now.

Nice to see Jill in a less dour light though. She's still kinda blah in the face but the more joyous lighting is a nice thing to see her in. Still a boring ed but trying to be positive here.

I have to admit it is a good idea to combine Vogue France, Italia and Spain for the summer issue. It does feel more authentic. It is still weird to see all those British and American content in Vogue's like Italia and France. So this is one of their worst best ideas ever. My favorite cover is the one from Vogue France and my favorite editorial from Vogue Italia. I really love the color scheme from that Vogue Italia editorial with all those splashes of color. The editorial from Vogue France is the most boring one ever. Especially if you compare it with all the magic Emmanuelle Alt has ever produced for those iconic Vogue Paris summer issues. It just embarrassing to see what Vogue France produced every single month, a snoozefest over and over again. Even the quality of the paper has deteriorated. It's like buying a weekly edition of the French Elle.

Were all the good stylists busy this month?
Apparently every month
And photographers too (...)

Given that each Vogue's issue is being prepared 2-3 months in advance, I think this has nothing to do whether (a good) stylists (or, God forbid, the *CANCELED* photographers! :ninja:) were available at the time, but rather WHAT, in fact, America wants to say to the (rest of the) world (read: the good, old Europe - once upon a time a *CRADLE OF CIVILISATION* and now a miserable America's b*tch !).

In other words, if the very same America managed to convince the very same Europe how it would be better off to freeze this winter and/or to pay bread (loaf) and/or a liter of (cooking) oil a 3-5 times *MORE* than usual (not to mention the price of oil/gas :important), why do you think it is/would be so effing hard to convince you/us that you/us would be (also! :bunny:) better off by looking at these three extremely strong models (okay, Mica is not exactly my cup of tea; but each to their own, right?) in this desperate and appalling FASHION (noun [MANNER] › a way of doing things)?!!

this photo reminds me of the editorials on the beach by Inez & Vinoodh for Vogue Paris under Alt and Carine, otherwise everything is so boring, I don't buy Vogue France and Italy is a long time ago now
