Vogue Italia August 2014 : Isabeli Fontana & Timo Nuñez by Steven Meisel

It's a fun editorial, and I loved the video, but I think what is 'off' for me about it is Carlyne's styling. It's too obvious, cliche and silly. I think it would have been so much more impactful and interesting had the styling been rather straightforward and completely non-thematically SPANISH. Just Isabeli and Timo dancing in gorgeous clothes...not these "costumes."

The filters ... my eyes hurt. Also want to know when they'll end up on Instagram.

Isabeli looks kinda demented in some of the pics. But also just supremely gorgeous in others (in most of them, to be fair). As I look at the editorial, though, I suddenly found myself wondering how epic it could have been were Stephanie Seymour cast instead...

I've been thinking about this exact problem as well and I agreed wholeheartedly.

I agree with the few who think the cover shoot is not good. I think it's very bad: It's like a caricature in every imaginable way. The whole vibe feels ike something out of Tyra's ANTM bad.

Everything looks so awkwardly executed to me-- from Isabeli's graceless poses, to a greased up Timo looking like a Eurotrash cartoon, to the awful filters. But most of all, it's such a poor man's take on a concept that ought to be amazingly sultry.

The incredibly smoldering, and effortlessly sexy video of Michael jackson's "In the Closet" with Naomi shot by Herb Ritts comes to mind in comparison. Herb Ritts shot Michael in such a masculine, forceful fashion and stripped him off his theatrics, giving him a believable bravado and macho attitude that never felt forced. And Naomi-- while not a dancer, moved with all the grace of a predatory feline, never looking close to, as you've termed Isabeli, happycanadian: demented. And that music video's absurdly simple, but hot styling, remains timeless-- and I will forever see only Naomi when I see the name Alaia... This shoot-- this shoot lacks rawness, no life, no warmth-- just models hitting some predictable poses in costumes, with no connection to each other. No connection to me.

I don't get it. Why Flamenco? and I don't recognize any of the clothes of the season. Totally costumey and pointless

Open your eyes !!
