I hope Eva will have another Vogue Italia cover because Meisel didn't do her any justice to a cover like that. Eva is a complete stunner, so make a cover that makes her show that.

Having not felt this way about a VI Meisel cover in such a long time, it feels all the more relieving to be able to say that I frakkin' love this. And considering I'm saying this of a cover featuring a Louis Vuitton piece just makes it all the more amazing. (Okay so it's mostly covered in leaves, but that's really the only way one can enjoy LV items anyway -- hidden. And that dress is no exception.)

Surprised to have found so many have hated this particular cover, though. Surely e.g. the February cover was more underwhelming than this? Personally, this is the freshest thing Meisel has produced for VI in a full year.

Ooh, and a Peter ed feat. Robin Wright Penn. Perhaps not a mind-blowingly spectacular ed, but most welcome in its unexpectedness alone.

Sedene and Ayan's stunning bodies combined with the lovely composition and great makeup are the only reason I would ever consider buying this.

Wild is the wind has got to be the most pretentious and contrived styling I've seen this year.. wish they had chosen another name instead of mixing such a flawless song with.. that. and I wonder whose idea it was to have Deborah photograph Eugene.. although I can see how only Deborah's lens could manage to bring some sympathetic spark out of those bratty eyes.

oh well.. another putrefactive publication sustained only by their highly regarded name.

Which model is Eugene? I agree the styling is a bit boring, it looks repetitive and their isn't any poetry and flow in the course of the editorial.. I never thought italian vogue would touch on the subject of utopian homeless communities but it doesn't quite do it for me.. the editorial could have been a little more natural.
