Vogue Italia June 2011 : Candice Huffine, Tara-Lynn & Robyn Lawley by Steven Meisel

The cover and editorial are beautiful. Love the styling, b&w and all girls look lovely. Kadel's editorial is stunning too!

HQ cover.

Jessie J's editorial.
My favorite ed after the main one.

Shock, horror, only now I realise that the girls are also drinking wine on the cover, such a stereotypical depiction of alcoholism.

Meisel did shoot Crystal Renn together with thin models for the March 2004 issue. But only once in 7 years is hardly a sign of improvement.

i know, and that's why i mentioned the word gimmicky. and you are right about the improvement. i don't think people will be up for changing what they usually work with...i don't know.

i think these girls look gorgeous. I would love to see them in more editorials and not only with other plus size models...the same goes for VI featuring black models only being shot together

i think they are suppose to look like the old paintings where the women were their sizes...there is a close up shot on vogue.it where one of them is resting their head on the couch and it completely looks like that famous painting from Picasso

I like that the Belle Vere cover and ed were done because Meisel and VI are so influential, but it looks like Meisel and Enninful phoned it in. First of all, as I and others have stated, plus size models in lingerie is a cliche. I am also not a fan of the amount of nudity used here and some of the positions and angles were not that flattering, and this someone who, save some of the styling choices, liked the exposed body parts in the Curves Ahead ed in V, it just looks like they were too lazy to go out and find some clothes for the models, and it is not impossible to find high end clothes for plus size shoot. I still give it a thumbs up but I am a tad disappointed that more thought and effort were not put into the ed.

I think, this is really beuatiful cover. One of the best, i´ve seen this year. And love Franca´s comment. Every time when I read her articles, she looks more and more sympatic for me

Hmm. I think I like the cover more after seeing ZFashionBlog's scan, but I'm still not sure about the issue as a whole. Regardless of the main editorial I'm not sure if I want to own something with an editorial about Jessie J.

I just noticed that I never buy the June issue of Vogue Italia.

I think the issue is one of the weakest this year.
Actually Jessie J's is the most interesting editorial in this issue compared to the rest..

That's why I scanned it.

Jessie J's editorial is simply stunning, one of the best editorials I've seen in quite some time.
The cover is also beautiful.

^Michaela looks amazing in the Kadel story. Great to see her featured in this mag again, and she looks so expensive and her body of course is sensational.
Jessie J. is made for these kind of editorials.......yes I would prefer to see models in all edits., but there is something about her and she has her own inate style and looks amazing, so yeah I'm happy to see her here.
Also the HQ cover just proves what beautiful faces these 3 women have.

Franca wanted controversy & rumor, she got it! Ms. Sozzani knows how to play, and she played it real good.

I don't like/hate the cover. I just don't mind t. The Jessie J. ed is unexpectedly good.

^It's a cliché because that combination has been done before?

Madonna's Erotica is from 1992, not from 1985 :flower:
