Vogue Italia March 2013 : Vanessa Axente & Gustav Swedberg by Steven Meisel

Wow. That is literally the best VI cover he's produced since... well since last March. I mean wow.

OMG!!! Best cover so far for 2013!! This is classic Vogue Italia!!!

Vanessa Axente ! Ruled Fashion World lovee it :)

Simplicity works best for VI. I totally love the cover.

Lovely cover, i hope than the ed don't disspointed this cover story than the previous one.

like it! very classic! can't wait to see the editorial! hope the main story can make the cover have more sense.

looks like VI is on heavy "Rotation" Covers these days :innocent:
but it's a nice cover

I like the nostalgic 90's vibe feeling about it, it looks very classic, very simple but effective. I don't really mind for the girl but I like the styling, hair and make-up. It's a bit weird to see a newbie getting 2 covers so quickly but at least this one works much better than the previous one for me. It reminds me somehow of the cover with Susan Holmes you know.

Looks like a classic late 90s, early 00s VI cover. Stunning.

This. "Oh hey I've run out of ideas, so lets start rotating the covers sideways".
Either way, it's a lovely cover. Compared to what he has produced as of late.... i'll gladly take this over last months cover.

Striking cover, thrilled to see Vanessa again  I believe the male model is Gustav Swedberg

I was waiting for something more impressive judging by the enthusiastic comments and man I was disappointed. It looks like something Solve would shoot (not a bad thing but not what I want from a Meisel cover story). The February issue had good eds and I bought it, so hopefully this one will be decent too.

Graphical duality. White and black for vintage characterized by Sixties’ style graphics marking the return to the essential. The mood mixes opposites: past and present, chromatic dichotomies. And maquillage is nude, neo-chic. No eyeliner, no mascara, eyes are brightened by Perfect Matte Concealer, creamy, a concealer that hides imperfections and makes the complexion uniform. On the cheeks, only a slight veil of Luminous Cheek Colour, nude. Natural tones where man and woman are enveloped by a single olfactory mix: The One, the female version as Desire and the male as The One for Men. By Dolce & Gabbana The Make Up & Fragrances.

Striped cotton brocade jacket and high neck sweater, Dolce & Gabbana. Hat J.J. Hat Center; gloves Reed Krakoff. Hair Guido for Redken. Maquillage Pat McGrath for Dolce & Gabbana The Make Up. Fashion editor Marie-Amélie Sauvé.

This month’s issue of Vogue Italia will be on newsstands on March 4 in Milan and shortly after in the rest of Italy.

well i love it. it looks like a 90s cover, the photo is striking and extremely eye catching.

(meanwhile at V magazine they're weeping in the corner hoping that one day they'll be able to potray their 'duo' theme in such a way)

Yes, it is beautiful and I like the idea and the colours of the font, but I think it would have been better with a prettier model. I find the male model much more interesting.
Other than that, can't wait for the main editorial and hopefully the rest of the content will be as good as last month's.
