Vogue Italia November 2010 : Freja Beha Erichsen & Iselin Steiro by Steven Meisel

the feature editorial is washed out in my opinion. there are little to no clothes shown. understandable of the cover, would've like to see more style variation. & it's not to say that the models cast aren't doing their job, because we all know iris, alla, iselin & freja consistently create amazing editorial work. the whole thing just feels lackluster- great cover, but the feature spread doesn't deliver. i had expected the cover to be intended a bit more for shock value & to grab us as fashion readers & then we'd be really wowed on the inside. more clothes! this is a fashion magazine!

The previews of Venus in Furs are fantastic. They are simply awesome :o:heart:
I guess Mr.Meisel is a huge fan of the Velvet Underground ^_^ I'm a fan of them too. :innocent:
I'm only hoping the other eds are as good as that one. It's time to revive, VI!

Good ed but repetitive is better the cover of the ed

Ughhh fur editorials ...not my thing. Too bad because the lighting is soft and lovely; Alla in particular looks amazing - hopefully this is just the beginning of the Meisel collabos for her.

i love the cover and also the ed, no heavy make up or any photoshopped touch just show the beauty and flawless side of the models..

at first such an amazing cover... and now after seeing the ed!! I'm totally amazed! Freja and Iselin both look so fabulous on the cover photo:heart:

so, you're saying that, because vi is a fashion magazine, it needs to show clothes only? fashion is just clothes?

i disagree with your opinion...i love this approach, nomads with only their own skin and animal fur...it gives the reader a message and still is a fashion "subject". so yes, fashion is very fickle and a chameleon...and sometimes it gets tiring to see all the camel, fur coats, denim and knits extreme...it's a nice, fresh change.

No doubting this is a very effective editorial and I'm no fan of fur, but obviously it's the contributing factor here. Fur against very, very pale skin and it works well. The picture of Iselin with the guy is outstanding.
Thanks for the scans ZFashionBlog:flower:

Thank U ZFashionBlog :flower:
i love it! I am a fan of nudity.

You're very welcome.
Stay tuned for another gorgeous editorial from Vogue Italia tomorrow ;-)

ZFashionBlog, would you mind doing a review of this issue? :) I'd love to know the contents!
