Vogue Japan September 2023 : Hailey Bieber by Richard Burbridge

I like it.
very mainstream but it’s Hailey Bieber who’s also mainstream who’s also promoting her new skincare line.

there are good shots and the cover is good.

In the cover she looks like Paris hilton kissed by a Dementor.

So depresing.

Out of all the nepo and reality tv models she is easily the worst. She has zero presence. The clothes always just consume her completely.

Sometimes the planets align and the odd shot of Kendall creeps through that is decent but Hailey Baldwin is completely devoid of any charisma or charm. Every shot is the same. Head tilted with sleepy eyes and/or pout.

Embarrassing that after years of being a "model" she is still so utterly useless at every aspect of it besides her associations.

I kinda agree with you, but I just don't look at her as a model, but rather as a celebrity.
Or even more so as a wife of a celebrity (let's be honest, before she married Just even her last name couldn't help her).

Does she know how to close her mouth? Her facial expresion is terrible and always the same

Is this whole issue dedicated to her? What a disaster!

Honey.... yeah. This is why we're all so hyped about Daria's return. Or any other nostalgia-fueled comeback. Why couldn't she have gone into acting? Netflix would've ate her up.

I was scrolling somewhere on the internet and their Jennie cover popped up which I hadn't seen before - my first thought was how IG baddie-fied it look which is so off-brand for Vogue Japan. Now this? It seems the new editor or whatever their title is nowadays is very obsessed with co-opting the Instagram aesthetic. Why? It has very little to do with real fashion in fact all it does is commercialise fashion and run it through a fake, lazy glamour funnel.
The Japanese are very serious about fashion, so I'm surprised the magazine chose this route. Can't imagine it will last very long.
