Ehhhh... it's nice because it's jam-packed with A-list celebs, but my God, what did they do to Kate Winslet? She looks like Sienna Miller! Penelope looks like she's being pushed into the wall by Naomi and Gwyneth is way out of her league on this one. Julianne is GORGEOUS, though. She is so pristine and beautiful, and imo, also very sexy. She smoulders in this shot and Meryl is absolutely glowing.

GROUP SHOT: I really love love love this. They all look so pretty but Meryl and Julianne and Kate strike me the most. Don`t like the VO UE though.

PENELOPE & MERYL: I love it! Just wish that the (Red) was GONE. Without is stunning!

PENELOPE & GUY: I like it! Very striking indeed.

The covers are three perfect disasters! How can someone do something so wrong with such phenomenal actresses? It is a mystery to me. Anyway, I do hope that the editorials make up for the atrocious covers. Thanks for the scans and review, dieselmax.

oh god this is so Vanity Fair. And it just looks tacky, right down to their Red shirts. Don't get me wrong, I am all for charity but this is a fashion magazine. I wouldn't even call it a celebrity fashion magazine in the way that US Vogue is. I want to see fashion.

Sad to say, I like Penelope as an actress but this is what you get when you have an actress guest edit a fashion magazine. Simply wearing clothes to events doesn't make one capable of the creative direction needed for a mag live VP.

Ugh, so disappointing.

I'm also not getting the love for something that is essentially a giant advert for Gap Product Red - they might as well have just used a reprint from the campaign if they were going to do this. The covers look like they're from a subpar issue of Vanity Fair, they did the exact same concept ages ago only in color and by Annie Leibovitz.

This is really another one of those situations where I ask myself "if this exact same thing were on Vogue US, would it be so praised?" and I really wonder at the answer.

Well, at least they made an effort with the actresses they picked. Points for that. And they all look nice. Kate and Meryl stand out. But the clothes don't appeal to me.

i thought i was crazy for thinking this! it really does look nothing like her. i am glad to see naomi though and meryl looks cute! the others i could care less about, they are all over-exposed. excited to see the editorial content- lily, magda crystal...and i am excited for daria, she delivers every time for me. and if carine wants to use the same model in every issue, atleast she picked one who can work the heck out of a shot.

Woah I can't control my excitement over this. Vogue Paris does celebrities like no other publication!
Desperately want the group shot cover already. Bono's is my least favourite, doesn't have the same factor as the others.
The editorial content sounds astonishing as usual. Natasha Poly by Sorrenti is going to be a dream!
And this Daria overload is something I can't complain about. Huge thanks Dieselmax!

I also wonder the same myself. I guess it would probably be bashed as a horrid celebrity cover, when we want is models blah blah blah. It makes me feel a little sad, you know.
