Such a pretty, romantic and melancholic issue with stories that flow and ebb into the next so lyrically. The mood that softly pierces through all 6 fashion stories feel thoughtful, disciplined, and retrained.
There’s an intimacy to all the stories that are absolutely Eastern European in tone, while still very much aware of being a part of the international scene— which means a sort of late-afternoon sunny melancholic feel is consistent to all the stories that whiffs through the gorgeous “Portrait W Sepii” with its stunning color-palette of warm woods and cozy styling, and ends with the indie-tinged urbanscape of Korea’s “Spacer Po". I’d imagine playing Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You” and Velvet Underground’s “Sunday Morning” as the soundtrack to this issue… And it’s a compact issue at only 292 pages, which feels tight and compact. None of this 640+ pages like Voge India with no direction and bloated with local/national ads crammed into it. Vogue Poland doesn’t even have the blue chip brands advertising in this September issue, except for Vuitton— which is worrisome for the livelihood of this Vogue.
And gorgeous, clean art direction throughout to boot!
