Vogue Portugal March 2017 : Malgosia Bela by Marcin Tyzska

Love to see Malgosia back on Vogue Cover, but the pose reminds me of VP march 2015 with Lara,Daria, Kate.

It's an interesting cover, very alluring. Even that Saint Laurent outfit doesn't bother me.

BETTER than that! I'm really impressed. As it is I'm a bit over VP-style edits, but this looks great. May have to get it.

love this cover... very VP... surely, they could have found a better coach though...

I'm also reminded of an old Anja Rubik edit for Bazaar by Kadel with that same pose right down to the arm position.

Marcin Tyzska must really love this couch, it's the same he used for Karmen's Vogue Thailand cover last year:

Other than that it's a good cover, especially by Vogue Portugal standards. Malgosia delivers. I have to say I didn't expect Saint Laurent to get this many covers...

Perhaps it's his casting couch! ;) I'm always a bit weirded out when people have these weird fascination with furniture.

I was just about to come here and mention that exact cover with Karmen Pedaru myself. Good eye!

The cover might feel like déjà vu but I think this is such a strong cover for Vogue Portugal, where everything works beautifully. I love the photography, the styling and the fact Malgosia is on the cover. This could be Vogue Spain, or Vogue Paris as some of you have mentioned.

They should just drop Marcin, once and for all. Giving two European Vogues two covers this similar is pretty low.

Love it! Malgosia looks amazing as always. She never disappoints.

I know Malgosia is a fashion "Icon" and has a ton of fans on this board. She's obviously very popular within the industry, as well - because she's maintained a long and successful fashion career.

But I honestly do not know anything about her. I can't think of a single fashion image or editorial of her's. I can't visualize a campaign that she's been in. I don't know what her level of popularity was. I've never seen her on a red carpet or in an interview. Like ... WHO IS SHE?! For someone who's so revered here, I am baffled at how little I know of her. People talk about Malgosia like she's on the same level as Karen Elson or Natasha Poly - but they're Supermodels in my eyes. Malgosia just draws a blank.

Not a diss! And not a hater! It's a great cover, and she's certainly commanding. I'm just confused as to how I missed her career. haha.

Wow, I'm impressed. Vogue Portugal has been producing quality covers (with quality models in it) lately. Do they have a new EIC?

LOVE .. she is one of the perennial top models of the last 15 or so years... more so than anyone in her generation... she is in the same league as Naomi and Guinevere Van Seenus for random and ongoing covers and appearances ...

I probably wouldn't say that she's on the same level as Karen Elson or Natasha Poly, but she does have quite a long run behind her. She's the type of girl who only hardcore fashion junkies will know about. I do get what you mean, it's hard to associate her with a certain edit. Her greatest hits, personally speaking, are probably any of her Spanish Vogue covers, a Meisel VI edit, and that bohemian Vogue Turkey cover. So I don't think she really should be called a supermodel.

Thanks for responding, Benn98!

When was her "peak"? Like, was she an early 2000s model? When I think of that era, I think Gisele, Liya, Karolina, Carmen, Natalia, Karen, etc. The mid-2000s is all Natasha, Daria, Lara, Raquel, Gemma, Sasha, etc.

All of those models I can remember clearly when they had their BIG moments - their first few seasons when they came on the scene and became huge names. Actually, now that I come to think of it, I feel quite the same about Guinevere Van Seenus. I know she's certainly an icon amongst fashion followers, but I have no idea when her popularity began or what made her so popular.
