Vogue Spain October 2013 : Andreea Diaconu by Mariano Vivanco

I didn't imagine it like this when I saw the preview. I thought she would be in a little black dress.
And this is Louis Vuitton right?

This would be a sophisticated look by the standards of a Scottish brothel, catering for local tastes with a touch of tartan.

I like the instagram pic better than the actual cover. Won't mind another Andreea cover tho :crush:

beautiful she looks like a Bollywood star here though the cover would have been better more saturated like int he preview

Wow, this magazine is struggling lately, looks like a bad Marie Claire.

I've become a massive follower of Andreea Diaconu, so I'm thrilled she's landed another Vogue cover. Vogue Spain's covers are usually hit or miss and this is definitely a hit, for me. You just have to admire how everything compliments each other, from the composition right down to the font colours.

Andreea's editorial is a little on the weak side (I think we've seen more interesting stories with Andreea). There are a few fantastic looking shots, however. Andreea's a natural beauty so whatever you style her in, she's going to radiate through the lens - and she has. Toni's editorial by David Bellemere is beautiful. The use of pink has been executed very well, I love it. I can't believe I'm going to say this: Giampaolo Sgura's editorial is the worst. I don't even have the energy to dissect all the negative points. The story is definitely one of Sgura's weaker editorials.

I just want to echo the sentiments regarding Vogue Spain emulating the style of the French edition of Vogue. In one issue, we have David Bellemere, Cisco Tschurtschenthaler, Andreea Diaconu and Vogue Paris used to hire Giampaolo Sgura for their C'est Vogue section. Maybe it's all just coincidence.. but it has become very blatant over the past few issues, Vogue Spain is copying numerous elements from Vogue Paris. I don't (really) have a problem with it, because I won't object to seeing more Vogue Paris-style stories. All I will say on the matter is that you cannot beat the original.

^It's no coincidence at all. Even in the 'Editor's Letter' the editor-in-chief talks about how much they love Vogue Paris and their editors... Not so long ago, they had a jewellery supplement whose editorials were all rip-offs from Vogue Paris. Plus, I remember them having an ed by Sjodin in the magazine, and they talked about him in the front pages as 'the photographer who has made a name shooting for Vogue Paris'. It's ridiculous.

It's so true. Being french myself and currently living in Spain for the last 5 years and having bought a lot of Spanish Vogue in the past, I can totally agree on that: Vogue Spain emulates a lot of the content from Vogue Paris.
