Vogue España May 2013 : Aymeline Valade

I love it. Just disappointed because I thought Daria would be on the cover. I think the headpiece gives it a subtle bohemian touch and I'm a sucker for a nice beach shoot.

Much as I love Aymeline she isn't meshing with the beautiful styling here, maybe it's the way they photoshopped her face so much, it gives her an oddball (almost cartoon like) appearance. I love everything else about the cover though, what a shame.

I've realized they've used ten different photographers (Reveriego, Testino, Demarchelier, Sgura, Munro, Vivanco, Kadel, Lubomirski, di Battista and Kobielski) in the last ten months. They should focus.

I get a Vogue Netherlands vibe from this cover, I'm not impressed.

The Age Issue

* Aymeline embodies the bold, energetic and romantic 20.
* Lauren Santo Domingo's still, wonderful 30's.
* In the 40s, Marpessa Hennick is made of a higher class. They called it 'The Countess gateways' and aristocratic step ran during the 80s and 90s.
* Anna Dello Russo celebrates the 50s with her free spirit and looks of impact.

I love "Bird of Paradise" - Aymeline looks so soft - she is such a versatile model! :heart:

Love Aymelines edit, the colors are beautiful and she looks gorgeous:heart:. Nice to see Ava too, shes such a beauty:D

Not a fan of Sam Rollinson,but she really amazed me by the beautiful photos.I think she has great potential as a model.Hope she can work harder on her catwalk,that was totally a mess.

i love aymeline's first editorial

but the second..wow..photoshop WAY too much it looks terrible

Yes, it's a supplement! What you say is quite common, sadly. Vogue España has a Collections supplement that comes for free with March and September issues, but some despicable newstands take advantage and sell it for 5€ (when the magazine itself costs just 3,50€). :lol:

This brings back so many memories of when I used to get Vogue Spain whilst vacationing in Spain and the issue would come packaged with extra goodies - heavy goodies at that. I still have a few of them, including Belleza and Colleciones.

This seems to be a decent issue, obviously Aymeline's being the standout edit. I love the use of blues there and I think the shot of Aymeline wearing the swimsuit-shirt-thing would have made a nice cover also. But I do like the one they chosen for this issue, I love how the pose is something different for a cover and actually works. It's unfortunate Aymeline's second editorial looks so enhanced and the make-up doesn't flatter Aymeline either. The other two fashion stories seem to just fill the issue out.. nice but nothing spectacular.

^ :smile: Now you reminded me of my vacations in Barcelona - I love how they pack Spanish magazines with cardboards, no way to get damaged :smile: Here they sell them unpacked, with no supplements. :(
