This issue is such a letdown. They styling is very disappointing and quite frankly, boring. They played it very very safe. I fear for the future of this magazine now that Edward is leaving. He was a big part of building up the magazines image when Stefano took over. The quality of the editorial content has degraded significantly since last year.

The golden age of Tonchi's W came when Meisel (god knows I don't worship him anymore) and Marie Amélie worked there every other issue and Tim Walker saved his best work for the pages of this magazine. There were also highly produced fashion stories by Sorrenti to look forward to. Nowadays there's pretty much nothing going on and months can pass with nothing of note getting published, whatever prestige they used to have is long gone and its place in the market has been occupied by the likes of POP.

True! I still cherish all the Tim x Jacob edits from years back! There was also an exceptionally beautiful Sorrenti cover with the Fanning sisters in 2011.

Also, I should think that this magazine will be in much better space now that Edward is out and Katie is in. Edward's work for this magazine was part of the reason why I lost interest. Just look at the edit above?
