well, i bought it several months ago when the fall 2003 stuff was still in stores. i'm not sure if it was a piece out of that collection (i don't think it was). where are you located? you can try calling your nearest galliano retailer (or boutique if there is one near you) and ask about it. they'll tell you if they have any in stock or if they can order one for you!

the bow is not detachable.
i say check both out and just go for the one you feel you'll get the most use out of
