from matches and net-a-porter. A simple tanktop like this Missoni is the best way to go, IMO, heels are the only option, and the pearls to make it more formal. But i have to admit, i don't care for those jeans at all.. :( sorry <3

I love these sequin tanks from The Limited pictured below! Although I already have a few ideas in my head of how I'd like to wear them, I was wondering what everyone on here would pair them with.

thank you Beautiful Stranger! Those jeans - I know what you mean but I need something different than skiny jeans.

so, i am graduating from veterinary school in may & have been charged with putting together a big (800+ people) graduation party following our oath & hooding ceremony. i've already purchased the shirt that i plan to wear but have NO idea what to pair it with in terms of skirt/pants & shoes. the event is semi-formal & i am semi-edgy, but i want to make sure that i temper that edge with a bit of professionalism given that - scarily enough - i'll actually become a doctor that night.

fyi, i'm 5'11", pretty curvy, & have coloring (hair & skin) similiar to the model pictured.

thank you in advance! truly, truly.

leather jackets

hi everyone, i have a quick question. i recently bought a brown(chocolate colour) motorcycle style leather jacket.

is there a rule of thumb for outfits to wear with this coat? should i have to match my actual outfit to the jacket? or is it okay (not a faux pas) to wear for example, a black shirt and black boots/shoes but still wear the brown leather coat?

what do you all think?

thank you all in advance!

star, I don't think you need to worry about rules, especially where the wearing of motorcycle jackets is concerned. ;) Do trust your eye and your own sense of what complements the jacket.

I mix black and brown frequently although I am often told this is a no-no. If you wear a black shirt and black boots/shoes with the brown jacket, I would probably go with black or a light neutral for your pants or skirt.

would you recommend jeans? i am hoping a dark wash jean is suitible. :)

star- I think a brown jacket looks better with brown shoes/ boots. Blue Jeans go with absolutely everything so they would be a n obvious choice. Also it shouldn't be that hard to find a non black shirt to wear with it unless your wardrobe is entirely made up of black

in which case it would have been wise to get a black jacket instead of brown

I have some brown riding boots SIMMILAR to these:

(Mine are cuter of course!)
they go about 2 inches below knee, and I was wondering what to wear with them! Color wise and style etc.

If i were you, i would wear it like this:

net-a-porter, dorothyperkins.

It seems to be pretty short, so if you feel too "undressed" kneehigh socks are a great option. I love how the silver work with the green's, a very quirky and cool combination, IMO.

I don't know about you, but I would want to cover my arms up a bit. So I would wear a short sleeved shirt underneath. But if that looks a bit too 'school uniform', maybe a simple cardi with a long necklace, tights and knee high boots or flats?

But if I were wearing it in the evening, I might not cover up my arms and wear it like Beautiful Stranger suggested. Maybe take some sort of cover up, like a nice jacket.
