What can I wear it with? (December 2003 - March 2010)

Find some pics of young Liz Taylor with a real big, smooth updo. Almost beehiveish. Take them to a hair stylist.
A short, not quite white pearl necklace. Get the most expensive one you can afford, if pearls go with your style and you think you'll wear it again. Or borrow one.
Plus pointy, satin black pumps. Finding vintage ones in good condition might be impossible--I don't see satin holding out well. But I think vintage pointy toes generally look better than new ones because the point is shorter (the angle of the point is wider). So look for a shorter point.
Neutral, neutral makeup.

It's not versatile enough for 2200 euros, however, it can be worn with both casual, half-formal and formal outfits, which is a huge plus.

Things don't have to be neutral to be versatile.
Nevertheless, if it would be a once in your life splurge, get something more neutral instead. If you've spent that amount on a coat before, get it.
Depending on your figure... I would wear it with a jersey dress, heather gray or baby yellow, something like the wifebeater or henley dresses at AA.
And it would still be great for work with, um, work clothes? That's versatile.

Aris, how big is your wardrobe? I like it, but if you have a small wardrobe I wouldnt get it, but if you have big - huge wardrobe, get it. It's a cute piece, Id prefer something w/ a little more black in it.

I HAVE BIG WARDROBE! I have maybe 6-7 winter coats - like - astragan Ferregamo, Gucci white wool coat, Prada - black, Dolce Gabana beige wool coat and Max Mara black, then I have some spring coats - 2 Dolce Gabana - white and navy, Miu,Miu black thrench, Missoni gray sport long cardigan, Max Mara brown wooven leather coat, but I guess the above Missoni is like a SUMMER coat. I LIVE IN 4 SEASON CLIMATE. Most of the coats are quite conservative as I work in a very conservative filed. I'm fed up with my conservative look, but can't get away.... I spend 5 days in the office from 8 to 8 each week. Also I never wear anything that colorful.

Bel - I'm 5.8 atletic with small hips, big shoulders, big breast - not sure the cut of this jacket is best for me - it has some volume on top - offset by the long skirt. I'm so used to wear simple cuts and shapes - so this for me is exotic.

But BS Diorling and Bell -thank you soo much !!!!!!!!!!

I cant imagine you look anything but conservative Aris, Ive seen the style advice you`ve given others and the one you gave me and its absolutly perfect:flower:

ha,ha, Elle me, that was because you didn't like "sweet"

I have mastered the art of dressing conservative with a twist. Most of the time I'm the only woman in a room with conservatevely dressed men - and I want to be taken seriously and blend in so I wear dark well cut pant suits, these man they do not look at the shoes and bags - so I can go wild with them!
And for the weekend - I mostly wear skiny jeans, now I have 2 pairs of wide leged jeans.

What kind of casual outfit that goes together with a pair of leopard skin ballet shoes? I just bought them and have no idea how to wear them!

You should check out the Cameron Diaz thread. She seems to be a fan of the flat leopard print shoes. She typically wears them with jeans and a simple top. I think with shoes like that you would not want anything overly excessive as far as other colors on top go.

You're right, thanks! ^_^ I was thinking that those kind of shoes only go with an all black outfit but looking at Cameron, I was wrong.

Received these as a gift:

and returning them is not an option, which is unfortunate since they're also a tad bit too big (I'm adding a heel cap and some silicone pads but I'm not sure that'll be enough).

I'm having a real hard time incorporating these into my normal minimalistic/futuristic/jeans-and-whatever style without looking like a woman of negotiable affection. Any hints on how to un-hookerify these would be immensely appreciated.

I am sorry for the bad quality photos...I have used my cellphone because I was too lazy to find my camera

I bought this pajama top from Prada and I do not know what to wear with it! I have never worn it before. It is grey/blue...more grey. I am thin and 167cm tall.

Love that top! Id wear it w/ maybe a short short short, in denim or satin, or maybe a skinny jean. I love that top.

^ agree 100%, that top is so beautiful joiedemode

i'd wear it with something like this:

netaporter.com/ eluxury.com / nordstorm.com

1) Stella McCartney Cotton Ottoman Jacket
Marc by Marc Jacobs Patti Pearl Strech Jeans
Christian Louboutin Super Canvas Pumps

2) Malene Birher Paget Cropped Jacket
Miss Sixty Binky Strech Denim Trousers
Dior Western Leather Ballerina

3) Marc Jacobs Collection Bomber Jacket
Peter Som Pleated Skirt
Fendi Crossword Patent Platform Sandal

4) Stella McCartney Cotton Ottoman Jacket
Peter Som Pleated Skirt
Marc Jacobs Runway Sandal

some things are kinda off with the outfits, and they ended up being gray+cream only ..but i hope it helps ;)

I have this Proenza Schouler for Target dress and I need help with what kind of shoes and accessories (purse/clutch, earrings etc.) to wear it with possibly to a wedding or dinner date.
The fit is right above my knee and it overall looks better on me than it does in this picture.

I agree, it might not be very flattering for you. But I still encourage you to go for a dramatic coat, in a better shape. A patterned trench, maybe, so you could at least have the classic shapes you're used to while trying out wilder fabrics.
