Thanks all :) Have another related question -- When do you think you must stop wearing open-toed/sandal shoes, (even with opaque tights?) When there's snow on the ground outside?

Your toes will let you know. For cold, windy weather, opaque tights won't cut it because you need to keep the air at bay. So you need sturdy shoes - sometimes even converse or very thin ballet flats are warm enough either.

Is it okay.. to wear a crewneck jumper on top of a turtleneck??

Okay- now, I realize this is something that could easily be paired with a variety of different shoe styles...
I was thinking grey/snakeskin strappys, or a black ankle boot (not severly pointy at all), or a burnished gold...but then I started thinking...

...maybe I'll wear it with black opaque tights and ankle booties, or something in suede....

...I'm a libra, I don't make decision very decisively, and I want this outift to turn out perfectly for a party I'm going to.

So - any suggestions? Colours/textures/styles? :flower:

Fezbatik,I like the idea of *sheer* tights and booties(round or almond toed)...black rather than gold....tights seamed at the back if possible.:flower:

I think those would be pretty with silver grey silk ...

that sounds nice! they're actually black leather but look navy-bluish in the closest picture i found

Picked these up the other day and still have no clue what to pair them with

This skirt is actually a very vibrant red, along with white and navy blue, I've never had to match with such a color, in fact, I've hardly had any red pieces in my closet for quite some time, help me?

Quite obviously this looks a bit formal, how can I dress it down a bit?

^^i love them both...
i'd wear them together with a wht tank and blk boots!...
^_^...

the jkt would also just be cute with jns tucked into boots...
:flower:

dior yes . . together !
& i'd pair the skirt w/navy leggings & patent red shoes
the jackt really isn't tht hard . .
it'll go w/pretty much anythn . . . skinny black trousers if i was you ;)

Medialady - Maybe team it with dusty warm grey ? That would kill the weddingy associations that cream and white lace gives me - dusty rose would also be lovely.. If you styled it with dusty colours, giving it a whole antique lace, just found in an old trunk in the ceiling vibe..that would be

sweetjane - something about those boots just scream russian zarina - winter coat with fur/fake fur trimming..jewel colours..

jadoredior - that skirt screams Carrie Bradshaw ;) .. I agree w. Softie .. white tank .. but possible also a pair of killer heels..

yes hanne !
medialady tht skirt is gorgeous !
i too would pair it w/diff.shades of grey . . . dusty rose is perfect too !
or mint green / pistachio . . for a fresher look ^_^
. . w/some subtle silver / antiqued gold accessories
eg. slate grey slouchy jumper + light grey wool leggings + pistachio shoes & battered silver cuff . . .
i want a lace skirt now :woot: i have lots of ideas !

please could any of you stylish people give me any idas of what to wear with my calf length thick chunky black leather boots....thankyou very much.cos at the moment i look like a big old clumpsy farm girl

I posted the pics in the Yay or Nay thread, but I think that part of my questions are more relevant to this thread.

What should I wear with the jacket?
It's a very muscular jacket with strong shoulder line because of the shoulder pad and the wood buttons. Yet the material is soft silk/satin. My current thought is a skirt, but in what color and what material?

What should I wear with the heels?
I think that they are extremely sexy, but is it appropriate to wear them as day heels? Which kind of outfit will balance the sexiness of the shoes?

With the jacket, if you're willing to try something adventurous, how about a pair of silky loose shorts?

loose shorts?hmm do you have a picture? I have a hard time to imagine that but I think that it is a very interesting idea! :flower:

I believe that I am a little addicted to this thread now...two projects:
1. I love the Moschino heels. I guess that the heels will be the highlight of the outfit. How can we do that? i have an idea to start with:
black turtleneck+chifon bubble skirt+red lips.

Anything else? hair, (I have short hair), jewelry (I have a long black chain necklace coming), a belt? (I have a patent YSL belt coming) tights? Any suggestions?

The following are the heels and my starting outfit. Can we complete a stunning one?:flower:

What to wear with the skirt?
I'm thinking about a cream color crochet sleeves shell(maybe with a thin white/gray tshirt under?)...very fitted. then how about shoes, tights if any?:flower: I think that it is a spring outfit though:p
