What can I wear it with? (December 2003 - March 2010)

i'd wear espadrills or wedges with the skirt, def NOT flats as i think because the print is so bold it will make the porportions look bad....yes and any sort of pump or vintage kitten heel....and i think ankle straps, especially on wedges or espadrills would look so cute!

for the top i'd go with a colored tank or halter or a black top with a cardigan...or off the shoulder 3/4 length sleeve top

What could I wear with a black cotton skirt? It's A line, fall just past my knees, very simple. I want it to be very daytime/casual/simple, not overdressed/frilly looking. Keep in mind that I want to wear it to school and that I live in Southern California, so it's very, very hot right now.

with the black skirt-

black flipflops and a tanktop would seem like the most natural/easy solution

but don't wear those rubber flipflops. Get a nice leather pair

Hi,
I'm bidding on this skirt on ebay .it reminds me of those rainbow colored skirts carrie used to wear on sex and the city .(i'm going to get it tailored a bit shorter though)
Q: what would you advise to wear with it ?:flower:

I think a white linen campshirt with tone-on-tone windowpane pattern like the skirt might look good ... and I like the espadrilles idea ... maybe green.

what shoes and accessories to go with this dress?

This is my first time posting a thread. I wasnt sure where else to put this. was deciding between "accessories" and "personal style". Anyhow, if i did anything wrong, anyone feel free to move it to where it'll be appropriate.

OKay back to my topic.. I just bought this dress for my upcoming formal.
Thing is, I'm not good at colour coordinating or accesorizing so I was hoping to get some opinions and advice from your girls (or guys).

I've attached a picture of the dress. Because it's tiny, some of u might not be able to see it clearly. but it's basically a satin purple-pink top half and a black patterned fabric thing bottom half.
It goes all the way down to mid-knee.

What colour heels and what kind of accesories should I match this dress with?
I don't want a casual look, in fact, I want it a little more dressed up. So any ideas?:D

Any input would be greatly greatly appreciated. thanks ^_^

missroadkill - I'm thinking black accessories across the board. A great black pump.. maybe a chunky necklace. Or chandelier earrings.. but not both :p Or a big black flower pinned at the heart :woot: Or will you have a corsage?

jkitty - w/ white on white.. it's an open book as far as color! I'd stick to a dressier top with the shoe though. A plain tank or tee might look silly imo. A nice empire jersey top comes to mind!

Fashion Advice - This is TFS right? =P

Hey all...arite so here's the deal:

my cousin is getting married in August...which means for about a week we'll be having various events that tie in with Indian marriages...some of which will require the males to wear suits. I'm excited, but I've always been one to mix it up a little and be a little different...so I'm thinking, while everybody else is wearing a tie, I want to wear a bow tie:D

What do you guys think? With a suit? For some reason, even though I'm all for it, I'm having trouble envisioning it...I know, it sounds weird but I think about what stuff is going to look like before I put it on, but I've only worn a bow tie with a tux before. Also...since I'm most probably going to have a grey suit, what color shirt/bow tie should i get?

need help~~~~

i dunno what colour of bag can match this
pink , white stripes polo shirt+ black pants

thanks~~

what do you guys think of these shorts? I've been wanting a pair of puffy shorts and i finally saw one in a boutique. they're quite puffy, but i'm worried that it looks liek a big diaper from the back????

what do you guys think of them?
what top could i wear with this? (ignor the ugly shirt i am wearing with, i sleep in that.hah)
I was thinking to wear a more fitted top to balance it out, but I can't really think of anything that would look right..

they definately don't look like a diaper because a. the colour shows the shape of the shorts quite well and b. you have lovely legs and the shorts seem to fit quite well. I quite like how the shirt you're wearing is tucked in. I would definately do something either tucked in or quite slouchy (but not long). As for colours, anything really. navy would be great. I think the waistband of these are quite important so I would really play that up. Not sure if this has made any sense but play around with them a bit and maybe post pics :flower:

Hi everyone!;)

I have a ball to go to on Friday, and I am wearing the outfit below...

Does anyone have any ideas for accessories/hair/make-up? Also, does the dress look OK? The shoes don't match completely, but I don't think anyone will notice.

I want to go for a 40s/50s glamourous style...

Thanks! :flower:

I'm very bad if it's about sailor stripes.. Please help! :D

what would you put with a grey jersey knee length skirt? the shape is very similar to this one (both are Vanessa Bruno), only without the lace, and y'know, jersey rather than linen.

at the minute i've just been wearing it 'safe' with plain black and white tops, but i'd like to make it a bit more indie/scene. ideas? particularly in terms of materials, neck/sleeve lengths, accessories etc. thanks :)

^ i'm not sure if you're gonna "scene it up" with this stuff, but it was fun trying to help!

i think you could wear that skirt with some tees that weren't all plain. in terms of color, i mix grey with almost everything. it's not that hard to find a color that goes with it because is almost a basic color. so it depends on the fabric's texture.
well, anyways, i picked a few tops/tees that i thought it'd look good with the skirt. i made a little collage here

Midori, i think you looked so cute with the white shorts and stripped top the other day! i found some skirts and shorts that could look good too. here
