ideas for 21st

:flower: i am trying to organise my 21st i havent decided what theme yet... here are the options i have come up with...

*vegas
*tropical luau
*cocktail
*costume

i dont know what to chose because i want to look super hot... i was thinking i could have the same dress made that michelle phiffer wore at the end of greese 2... if you have any ideas i would really appriciate it

kisses babies  vg

luau is kinda cheesy... costume parties are always fun... vegas sounds fun too.. get some gambling tables in there :D

:) when is your birthday?....

Those are all good classic themes so the advantage is you would probably have a easier time to find themed decor for it.
I like the vegas idea best out of those four choices...:flower:

how about grecian...you can dress like a goddess, just like your nick :flower:

Or Victorian....then you can still wear the clothes after the party.. :)

I was thinking of doing that....

I want something oldenstyle....roaring 20's, Moulin Rouge, Old Hollywood, burlesque pinup themed type 18th.

Evil Alice in Wonderland... I love that idea, it's so creepy/cool.

ETA: Themed 21st's I've been to/going to this year:

- Charlie Chaplin
- Musical Artist
- Arabian Nights
- Glamour/Punk
- Bring yo' Bling
- Cocktail (this is a popular theme)
- Trash Band 1980's

that is so cool! I  charlie chaplin...

I think a rococo themed party would be uber chic. who was it...one of the windsor boys...freddie? who had a rococo themed 21st. I don't mean go all out with a mantua court gown, but adapting elements of the theme into a costume would be quite fun, and the decor could be really lavish and beautiful as well.

I think the best themed costume party I've been to in recent years was a "Film Noir" party. Very sultry, very dark, and very fun

I love vintage_princess' idea about the 1920s theme. I had a 'Swinging sixties' theme for my 19th and everybody had to come dressed as a famous person from that time. It was really great:D

It was my best friends boyfriend's 21st... He is utterly obsessed with Charlie Chaplin. It was so awesome! Everyone had little fake moustaches and hats/canes... My girlfriends and I went as a girl-mafia ^_^

vp thanks for the advice..
but what kind of heels though?
i dont think pointy toe heels would go well with those....
i like wedges but i dont like it with the skirt...
almond toe/mid heel????? gaaaah i donno.

I think pointy toed would be fine with the skirt Cloud9, but round toe would be great, too. There's lots of options for round toe stacked heel pumps at the moment ;) Great skirt, btw :flower:

cloud9, I would definitely go with round toe pumps with the skirt. I am loving them at the moment.

I need help as well....
I have a yellow twinset--it is a bold yellow, (not pastel) and I have heard not to pair it with black (from various sources) but I have worn it with white before and feel like I might have run out of options.
I have pants/skirts in various colors, turquoise, baby blue, fushia, kelly green, brown, tan, camel, coral, grey... and I just couldn't come up with something that hits me right. Any suggestions?

Oooh agreed!! Grey would be pretty :flower:

And the brown, camel or tan might work, too depending on the shade of yellow. Here's a pic from Bottega Veneta S/S 05 w/ yellow and brown pairings. I get the sense your yellow might be a bit brighter though. Any chance of a pic or a sample of the yellow? Might help...
