Do you know it is actually easier to find An Demeulemeester (and other belgian designers) stuff in New York than in Brussels?!!

Not the men's (until recently, one store started carrying a good men's selection)! And, it's outrageously expensive here. Although I found that in Antwerp Ann Dem. stuff was pretty expensive too (compared let's say to prices in van Noten or Louis). Hooray for 22% VAT that I don't have to pay

Anyway, 40 minutes and 5 Euros and you are in Antwerp, gotta love it! Do you shop at Stijl? I assume you do. I like that store a lot.

Black Dior Homme shirt with the Bee, which I wanted to sell on Ebay for a profit, but decided to keep for myself :P I sold the white one, though

Yes I do. It's my favorite shop in Brussels but I prefer to shop in Antwerp. As you said it's very close + the shops and the choice are much better. Ann D shop is fantastic (I love their big fitting rooms). Dries shop is gorgeous (impossible to leave without buying anything). Do you know Walter? Really amazing store with hard to find labels! The new Verso shop is huge and beautiful (in an old bank). They have ALL the (non belgian) major labels.
You seem to know Belgium very well. How come?

Antwerp is the fashion capital for me - I have the deepest respect and admiration for the Belgian fashion design. And I am fond of the Belgian lifestyle in general (the beer alone is worth moving to Belgium :P ). I've been to Belgium twice (one in Brussels, and twice in Antwerp), and I would love to come back each year, but I am not fond of the currency situation right now (plus a radical turn in my life - wife and daughter  ). I'm thoroughly familiar with the Antwerp shopping scene, although I've never been to Walter. Verso was cool, yes, but since I can get other desingers here, I mostly check it out for Dirk Bikkembergs. I love Ann's store (the terranium with the doves  ). I also like Louis. I love the whole strip of modern architecture by the river, as well as the Little Buddha and Velvet lounge. I  Antwerp. I like Brussels too, but I must admit not as much as Antwerp. I didn't get to explore Brussels too much, but I love the area that starts across from the Bourse and goes towards the river - it seems like it's all young locals and no tourists.

Anyway, I would love to come back to see the Bikkimbergs and Branqhuino stores in Antwerp and take a thorough look at Mode Natie, but it'll have to wait. I also would want to know who stocks Les Hommes in Belgium - do you know?

I know... poor baby
Well, I'm poor too atm. I can only withdraw/charge so much every month with my Italian bancomat card... It doesn't matter if there is money in the account or not; if I've reached my limit I'm screwed!

I experienced a really embarrassing moment at the supermarket earlier this evening... I honestly thought I had cash, but noooo. And I'd charged to the max already. I had to do without a can of pesto alla Siciliana in order to pay. :ninja:
