What handbags are you getting for 2008?

I have NO clue! I have soooo much bags to choose from!

I am absolutely getting a leather handbag. No more cloth bags for $$$$. I do not see the sense in that anymore.

I am not sure, to be honest. I have been wearing my beloved maxi Nightingale non-stop since I got it. I am not really sure I am ready to part with it yet so I may just wait until something stuns me just as much. There are loads of new bags I wouldn't mind owning but I think if I bought one, I'd still be wearing my Nightingale constantly! So I may just wait a while.

Would love to hear what others are going to purchase, in the meantime, though.

I'm also cultivating the beauty of thriftiness. I definitely don't need so many bags, and I usually fall back on the same bags. To make me feel even better, I'm selling off some bags, but it's hard because many of them come with a sentimental value.

Having said that, I still want a couple of Gerard Darels (not too expensive so it's ok, I guess), and a Balenciaga Work.

same here. i've become so picky over quality. I'm interested in perhaps revisiting gwen stefani's bags...but there hasn't been one i've fallen head over heels over yet...

i sold a lot of my bags which didn't fit my daily needs, and also that i didn't use. I think I got over my LV phase too...something about going back to all leather bags makes me see any sort of vinyl in a new light. nothing beats all leather. I've been looking up older, classic MJ bag styles and really have come back to MJ with open arms.

I really would like a cherry blossom MJ style (either black, sophia, or stella).
and a gerard darel....maybe...

We are all being so good and thrifty this year so far and I am feeling the same way (the year is young though!)! I'm hoping to make no bag purchases in 2008, but I must say the Gucci Hysteria in black python is very nice! It looks great in the pics on saks.com, but I hope I would hate it IRL. The price is definitly a deterent at $3990.00

i wish the lanvin heros were still around, or that the ysl downtowns came in nickel/silver hardware. maybe i should look into a balenciaga messenger... i need something that carries papers, books magazines etc.
