What handbags are you getting for 2008?

Before my birthday this year (I'm a Virgo!):

The black leather oversize YSL Muse, and matching white leather Muse wallet. Would very much want to make it a triple threat and get an organizer from YSL as well, but I don't think they are being produced anymore.

For fun:

Something from Miu Miu. The bow shoulder bag (not the satchel!) in a punchy grape color (that Mulberry has) if it gets made, or a croc-stamped doctor's bag.

Im getting probably by next month a MJ Stam, i hope i can find a nice knock-off since original Stams only come in leather. Im trying to avoid buying leather this year, just like i did last year

There's an adorable gold Prada mini envelope sling messenger bag (it's really tiny) from her s/s08 collection that I've waiting to hit the stores.

It looks pretty much like this one below. (size and color wise), but the one I'm speaking of is gold through and through.

I'd love to have a Givenchy Nightingale, but seems like it's impossible to find. :(

I saw someone carrying it and now I really want the LV Tivoli bag, I think in the smaller size. I'm headed to Paris in a few days, I hope they have it!!

I've bought so many bags in 2007, one after another, so it seems crazy that i actually still want to buy some more in 2008 =P
However i would love to get a LV Trouville in classic mono this year, although i still love my Loewe bag and my yellow LV noe.

Im planning on getting a Mulberry Bayswater, another Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Mini, and a Chanel Cerf!

Nothing special..too many bags  I wouldn't mind a red (patent) chanel and a Pierre Hardy bag though :p and maybe a classic clutch (e.g Bottega)...

I'm all bagged out...I bought all my grail bags last year, and I am afraid that I've spent at least 25% of my salary on my collection. Granted, it's a really kicka** collection (if i do say so myself), but any new bag I could possibly want would just be a duplicate of what I already have. So, no bags in 2008 for me.

Definitely easier said than done though. The gerard darel python is really, really tempting. But now that the economy sucks and after these crazy price hikes, I've got other priorities in terms of where my money should go. Like paying off the student loans.

not to offend you or anything, but despite the fact that faux leather may be saving an animal from death for it's leather, i must say that the manufacturing process for pleather and faux leather is more harmful to the environment through it's use of petrolium products, not to mention the humanitarian aspect of people put in horrible conditions while manufacturing these 'knock-offs' overseas...

I've been carrying around the same fabric, homemade (I think) second-hand bag for about 9 years so I'm thinking this will be the year that I hand over the cash for a quality bag that I can have forever. I love my bag and get compliments all the time, but it's bound to rip through eventually:cry:, and I need something waterproof since it rains loads where I live. I was thinking a Balenciaga Day in a brown or black. I want something that I can use everyday, and that has space for the books and other random things that I like to tote around with me everywhere.

poptarts, please credit your image source, or it will have to be removed!
Thank you! :) :flower:

I would LOVE to say this as well. But I'm not so sure how well I'll stick to my bag ban.

I have bought one bag so far this year already... but I just couldn't pass up the amazing deal.

But even so, I've gotta be good! No bags for me either.

as HARD as it is...

If I get that job I applied for, I think I'm saving up for a Balenciaga bag (don't know which one yet) and a Mulberry organizer. But that will be later this year, I have some travelling to do as well

even tho i mean, i want every single ss mcqueen bag. badly. but if i can get my hands on this one, i can then die happy:D

I'd love a non-"It" Balenciaga bag.
Also, a McQueen Elvie (if I can ever find it) and Givenchy Nightingale would be highly coveted.

I just bought a gunmetal Twiggy tote from Be&D, and at the moment, it's my baby, so my handbag fetish is mollified for now.
