What will emerge after the Skull symbol/pattern

I agree, there'll probably lots of wildlife figures, mostly birds and deer. Owls seem to be more or less everywhere in the more artsy circles

the smilie faces is a good guess. I've already seen them in a few places.

has to be something that looks good repeated and has to look upscale...
even if it isn't...
and in order to reach a market as wide as that skull thing did...
it has to appeal to a really wide market...male and female...young and old...

Hmmm, perhaps contemporary versions of the cameo? I'm seeing a lot of them, especially more modernized designs on mens t-shirts. Birds have been around for a while as well.... the sparrow has been very big in the DIY/Indie Art/Design crowd for a while now, along with the deer, owls and gnomes. I like the idea of fancier wallpaper pattern-type designs exploding everywhere, I love all of those pretty little flourishes.

it's funny how you need alot of people to promote these trends because i remember only a year ago i wore a DKNY skull and cross bone graphic tee and no one thought ANYTHING of it, i wore it a couple weeks ago though and got complemented.

well were i live since the skull we have had the owl, birds, ancors, arrows, dogtooth, chekers, smilie faces are just coming in now on one or two things nothing wide scale though .... i agree totally with softie though im seeing alot of those type of patterns about.. espesially some with a 60s feel to it or 60's colour sceme .. on tunic dresses, and smock tops and mini dresses etc. ... patterns are really popular atm were i live so i can easily see it becoming very mainstream and popular
