What will replace skinny Jeans ?

I really have to diagree- this is a little amateurish drawing I did on paint- but It shows wide leg pants verses high waisted skinny pants- on a figure of a woman with hips

I think it's quite obvious how much more balanced, and flattering the wide leg is on the figure of a curvy woman

edit= I don't know why It's gone all fuzzy

But, in order to looks this good the person can't have any belly, gut or any fat on their stomach.....

Not eveyone has an hourglass figure...
The wideleg makes the person thighs look like humongous compared to the high waist...there is no definition whatsoever
The wideleg makes the person look more bottom heavy...compared to the highwaist
The Highwaist emphasie the women figure and very more flattering in my opinion.

I honestly doubt I could ever adopt the wide-leg...hopefully I won't be biting my tongue about this anytime soon, though! :innocent:

I have a flat stomach small hips but my thighs are too muscular. I dont know how good they look on me. But I wear them on thin days. *_*

:ninja: I used an anatomy model and paint for this. (female-anatomy-for-artists.com)

Haha! I like it! And on her I like the skinny jeans better. But on me I think what is most flattering is good ol' bootcut. I jsut went to the store and tried on Levis in like evry style. Bootcut is definately the most flattering. Although if I'm not feeling fat and self-conscious then the others are fine too.

both figures look funny...lol hahahahah..,yeah true you can b*tch and moan about em ...but bootcuts and flares are the most flaterring....looks like my niece made it on windows paint, so i dont think thats good thing to go by.

I think its hilarious that you crossed out the nipples...the model looks so depressed (hysterical:(lol:

But, this pic just only proves my point....skinny legs/high waisted pants much more flattering than wide leg.

If you love wideleg...buy them.

I was using my boyfriend's gaming mouse to do this, it's extremely sensitive and picks up every little shake of the hand. But since it is based on a real person and the shape IS there it gives an idea. Obviously since not everyone has the same body type they should try things on for themselves, but it's a more realistic example then the exagerated hourglass figure one.

(Oh, and I crossed out her nipples because I wasn't sure how naked people fit into the board policy :P )

the wide leg pants in reality dont like that , and the skinny ones are even skinnier. THat girl has not curves......i cant get over this hahahah

I think given time, wide leg flares will come back. But it will be a slow change over time. just like the original change from flares to skinnies

The skinny ones couldn't possibly be any skinnier because they were painted following the model's actual legs. Maybe you should take some time to look at human anatomy sometime, a picture of a real person is more accurate than whatever fantasy person you associate with your high-waisted 70s' jeans, whether she has "curves" or not. Besides I didn't make the graphic with bias, you decided independantly that the wide leg pants didn't look so great, so :P

I detest skinny jeans and hope they disappear for a while. Unless you are a size 2 or less they give you a "turkey leg" appearance which is definitely not flattering. When I wear jeans (which is very rarely) I personally like the boot cut styles.

i always felt that skinny jeans were only a trend in america.
people in asia (and europe as well? im not too sure) have been wearing skinny jeans for a long time, and its become sort of a staple.

yeah ...its been in japan since 1999. Well thing is , not too many girls can wear that look, you have to be thin and have a narrow frame(sorry for being politically incorrect but its the truth) , except for new york and LA , you wont see skinny jeans , in the states, they are all over in the stores but most are just lying there, the bootcuts still out sell them

the reason the skinny jeans look good on that anatomy model is because she doesn't have hips

Right on sista stilleto , i even said the same, she has a body of a 12 year old boy sans the boobs .

Those jeans look really good...but the shoes look horrendous!!!
Scarlett, Beyonce, and Stilla pull of the skinny pretty well.

Skinny jeans looks good on people who are toned and well-built.

I totally remember when so many people were saying that the low rise only looks good on people with no waist but notice how like almost everyone wears them.

People are afraid of trying something new and unique.

beyonce nooooooooo way....she looks bad ,she has a fat *** she has too big hips...yeah i think those shoes make it worse and that model is TOO thin, but i think kate moss looks best , sound cliched but true. Im not saying skinny jeans are bad at all, just that ,they look good on a few bodies , trust me on this , its one thing to have confidence and another thing to look like a sausage. My aunt use to wear very tight jeans aka drainpipes circa 1980-81, but they looked good on her , she was very thin and boyish figure so it gave her curves , on vast majority of girls its not the case ( in north america at least) so you dont want to look like a travesty. Beyonce is a very voluptous and very womanly body, skinny jeans are most def not for her. Ive seen the same problem with mischa barton she is heavy on the hips but still thin and she looks bad in skinnies .

Mischa Barton is just fugly...she looks ugly in everything she wears...I don't understand why people keep saying that she is beautiful or something. UGGGH:yuk:

Kate moss looks good in everything but she is also a cokehead so of course she would be skinny enough to wear skinnies.

Beyonce used to be a cow but she has dropped like 30 lbs and she looks pretty decent. I hate her and her style ( her mom needs to stay away from the drawing board like pronto) but she does look good in skinnies.
