What happened to your J12?

Blasphemy. Im having second thoughts on the J12, the stainless one has perked my interest but Im not longer interested in the black...I know...

I want a strap watch more than a bracelet, it's more my style.

i don't have a zenith yet ( that i know of since they make movements for every other brand!) but fell for this grande chronomaster el primero. i love the open dial detail. its also comparable in price with a J12 (well maybe £1k more).

I love that too!! I'm giving up on the 38mm diamond and croc la D and save instead for the Zenith chronomaster T open when I get my license...which is like three more years but I'm sure it's worth the wait!

Okay. I was at Barneys today and fell in LOOOOVE with the Hermes double-tour watch w/ the orange strap...It's perfect, Im getting it.

I also looked at a Baume & Mercier, my only issue was that the band was stamped croc, ew, I only do authentic skins. Then I looked at a Tag Heuer Carrera, which is a really cute watch but still...It's a Tag Heuer...I dont really respect Tag Heuer, very common.

Who does the movements in Hermes watches? The SA didnt seem to know, and I dont feel like going into the store, I get too tempted by everything. I need to know if the movement is 1. Automatic 2. Who it's made by...That's it.

Which double tour watch? H-our or Capecod? I think most of their watches are quartz, except for the arceau maxi and dressage. I guess some models could also be available in auto but you probably have to check.

Cape Cod, I think. It's the one that doesn't have the H-face.

i agree tag is far too common- i had to retire my blue faced monaco because i literally saw it everywhere ( like the submariner today) but i too like the carrera. hermes is a fashion brand and the movements mediocre quartz at best- although the dressage is the exception- my mother used to wear one at the start when they were rarer than barenia birkins!

i'm putting the zenith aside until i see the new carbon fibre cased ones- i'm tinking of the cartier santos 100 in steel as my next everyday watch.

Keys, I love that Cartier, so understated! Also, according to my friend Jeff, the Double-Tour Hermes watches are as common as Goyard...At Barneys, my favorite shopping destination, everyone has Goyard. Im off Goyard but Im still on the Hermes watch.

I love that Cartier, Travis, I tried it on, actually. The one I tried on was ENORMOUS, I mean it was about an inch thick, it was wayyy to much, the smaller size was too dainty for my wrist.

^ i love the weight of it- my only cartier is a santos dumont which is a similar size but far thinner- it's too delicate for me to use everyday (i've never kept a watch unscratched). bw- did you try the midsize santos 100?

I didnt try on the middle size b/c they didnt have it. Im so torn, I dont know what to buy! God, my life is so hard...deciding on luxury watches.

I know Travis, I destroy my watches fast, I actually lost my current watch, but today I cycled back around to the bag I left it in, imagine my surprise when I found it...I was sooo happy, because I love this watch!

Ive settled on the Chopard Mille Miglia, Im toying w/ just the chronograph or getting the Limited Edition Jacky Ickx watch, only 1k made (thats not very limited, actually)...I like the Limited Edition more, only 999 other ppl will have it besides me...Ooo, I like that.

Oh, Ive decided to start collecting watches which I part of the reason Im not interested in the J12...

Alright decided on the Chronograph w/ two faces, Im in looooove. Can't wait to get my paws on it. It comes w/ a rubber band normally but the SA is going to put a leather band on for me.

My dream watch is a franck Muller, no diamonds though, with a big face and black or grey croc strap. Unfortunatley I can't find or afford one, so until I do I'm i'm sticking with what I have... my phone.
