A few of my good friends and I are planning a trip to celebrate graduation. This will take place in approximately two years, however, it takes planning..particularly financial planning. So, I'm starting now

Does anyone have suggestions on where to go? We want either Asia, Oceania, or Europe. The thing is, we're looking for cities that have a low cost of living, meaning we can eat at restaurants and shop at a good/lower rate and stay at a nice hotel. Therefore, cities like Tokyo and Oslo are out. But, we still want it to be a major city, nice shopping, etc. I'm thinking of Singapore, but I don't know if it's an expensive city or not.

Suggestions?

Thx :flower:

^ Singapore's brilliant, great shopping and reasonable prices

I'd suggest London or Berlin for europe, but they're expensive

I'm partial to India, myself. Bangalore is fantastic, and travel is cheap.

^ very true, India's lovely and there's so much to see :woot:

Dude, buy a Eurorail pass and go backpacking through Europe. You can stay at hostels for $20 a night. You'll have the most amazing experience and make many friends. I did.

Thx everyone. :flower: Thailand, India, and Singapore sound nice. Also the backpacking part. It'd be great if I could combine backpacking and staying at a very nice hotel. That would be ideal.

The eurorail is a great idea, I'm going to do it next year with two friends, a fantastic idea to visit a lot of different places with not a lot of money.

i love milan. shopping is awesome (of course) and the city center is beautiful. actually, every city in italy is beautiful. i also adored rome and venice. so romantic :-)
if partying is an issue, i'd go for paris. there, you have the great shopping, amazing sights to see and some awesome clubs.

what about few days in london, rome, barcelona, venis, paris, prague, copenhagen, dublin and get very cheap easy jet flights between them and stay in cheap hotel travel lodge, hotel ibis type hotels. cheap and chearfull. Then you can save your money for the shops and bars
