The Moon Cafe
(08) 9328 7474, 323 William St Northbridge 6003

A favoured haunt of Perths city's 'subcultured'. Much attitude. Food is simple from penne San Marco to satay, and the prices more appropriate on the Monday and Tuesday 1/2 price pasta nights. Lateness of hours, vibe and quality of coffee are what this place revels in, with the weekend big breakfast quite possibly the best value in town.

Bada Bing Cafe
84 Rosewood Avenue, Woodlands

Hidden away in Woodlands overlooking Jackadder Lake, Bada Bing Café is a place worth finding. This light bright modern café is a wonderful place to enjoy something from a modern Australian menu. On weekends, the alfresco area is ideal for enjoying bacon and eggs whilst reading the paper. Anytime you drop by the perfect coffee will be waiting for you.

The Olive Tree Restaraunt

Giardini
135 Oxford Street, Leederville

Giardini is an institution in Leederville. A Tuscan garden setting will relax you as you enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner away from the hustle and bustle of the everyday. Vittoria coffee is served perfectly each day and Head Chef Steve Kim presides over a great team of people in the open kitchen to provide a diverse menu of Modern Italian food.

If it's that special occasion dinner, corporate lunch, birthday bash or just socialising with friends; then Social on Station Lounge Restaurant is the place to be. Located in Subi-Centro, Social is where food, wine and people meet. With a Modern Australian menu, the trendy Lounge Restaurant is complimented with the chic surrounds of an adjoining Lounge Bar where you can drop by and just enjoy a drink.

Tiger Lil’s is one of a kind, offering a new dining experience, with a focus on fresh Asian produce, great international beers, funky cocktails, excellent function facilities and a place for people to meet.
An intimate and funky refurbishment has taken place that is spell binding from the moment you walk through the door. The venue is decorated with authentic statues, pictures, antiquities and carvings from all over the orient, creating a plush and comfortable living collage, of all that is Asia.
The restaurant follows the Asian communal approach to dining, with the menu steering away from an emphasis of entrée/ main to the shared dish with accompaniments, ideal for lunch and intimate dinners. From the zest of Kaffir lime, the perfume of Jasmine rice and the fire of sauce Nam Jim, to the indulgence of duck pancakes or the simplicity of the steamed basket. Accompanied with a selection of fine wines the venue offers a dining experience like no other.
We welcome you to our venue.

Side note:  I am shocked to see the Subi hotel has listed The Ones to Watch.com as a good site to check out! :woot:

I rarely go out to eat. But in Boulder Colorado go to Illegal Petes best burriots in the entire world.

The gelato place near the Trevi Fountain in Rome.

And in Hong Kong: I really like the JW California at the Marriot Hotel...

Melbourne, Australia!

1. Brunetti's
http://www.brunetti.com.au/
This has always been one of my favourite places! It truly represents the best of Melbourne's coffee culture. Just off Lygon Street, it has such great atmosphere, some fantastic coffee (but you MUST have an italian hot chocolate there...it is like pure liquid chocolate) and the most DELICIOUS pastries and cakes! Their foccaccias are really delicious too!

2. Sapore
http://www.sapore.com.au/
Such a nice place (its function room upstairs is amazing! the pictures of the website don't do it justice...). The food is absolutely gormet (so yummy) and their desserts are so yummy (my favourite is the chocolate croissant pudding!) Right opposite St Kilda beach, so beautiful views...AND near lots of funky shops!

3. La Camera
http://www.lacamerasouthgate.com/
Really yummy food, and such a huge variety! I could eat there every single night for a year and find something different to eat each time! Really reasonably priced, and beautiful...just next to the Yarra River. Southbank is lovely at night too!

Sydney, Australia

Lowenbrau Keller
http://www.lowenbrau.com.au/menu.htm
When I visited Sydney, I loved this cute little German restaurant! The food was delicious (although quite fatty I imagine), the waiters and waitresses were all in traditional costume, they live entertainment...traditional german music and dancers, and an amazing selection of beers!

In Tallinn, my favourite is Elevant. Fab Indian food in a very pleasant and relaxed environment. Some places offer more glam but don't deliver in the food department.

When I'm in Boston I rarely go out to dinner due to a poor college student's budget and the fact that I am constantly in an art studio doing work.. but when I am able to get out, Union Oyster House has some of the best food I've ever eaten. Also the sandwiches at Beantown Pub are delish.

Nostra Casa Trattoria on Caine Road, Mid Levels in Hong Kong.
