Which Countries Need Vogue?

Poland !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

exaclty :D

we got no nice fashion mag, ok elle and A4 arent that bad.
but we got Fashion which in my opinion is really crappy.

and its also sad for me to see that so much of the editorial used in elle isnt really polish.

If the quality of the new Vogue is on the lines of Vogue Australia, then, I'd rather not have a new Vogue. :innocent:

It just ruins the point!

:ninja:

there shouold be a mutual Vogue for Serbo-Croat language countries... serbia, croatia, bosnia... fyrom ... well all of x yugoslavia countries... fashion scene is growing in belgrade and zagreb

Slovakia or czech republic T^T . well, since i study in CZ it would be better but at least in one of them. I cant read german so vogue from austria does not help much ToT .

There is a an ELLE Middle East and its so HORRIBLE its such a shame it could be SO much better, considering there are so many fashion concious countries like United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Lebanon, the editorials are so cheap and lower than mediocre :/Would be great if there was a VOGUE Middle East.

The harsh truth is that ELLE did badly in the Middle East and that a VOGUE Arabia would be highly unlikely to do better. Can you imagine the average fundamentalist mullah's reaction to a Terry Richardson shoot? I know one Arab publisher who has been trying for some time to get CN to do a VOGUE JV with his people, aimed at the more civilised Middle Eastern countries, but even he admits that they have to tread carefully with the local fashion and style titles they already have. Jonathan Newhouse's remarks were of course seized upon by some hacks as evidence of anti-Muslim sentiment on the part of a Jewish publisher but (a) Newhouse is no racist and (b) he is, sadly, right in adopting such an attitude. Reform Islam and you can have fashion magazines showing scantily-clad girls otherwise, forget about it. It is frustrating, though, to see all that ad revenue waiting to be liberated.

I really love the idea of a Middle Eastern Vogue... in a way, I believe fashion really could help bridge the gap in cultural tolerance and understanding, especially an international juggernaut like Vogue. ^_^

I'd like to see some Western PR type pitching "cultural tolerance" to a Wahabi loony surrounded by crackheads with AK74s, sawback knives and 1970s-era video cameras...

Vogue Singapore please.
It's like NO VOGUES in the south-east asian region. Sad...

Japanese Vogue?

Korean Vogue?

Taiwanese Vogue?

Chinese Vogue?

Singapore Vogue bombed, perhaps because it was too premature or perhaps because the people running CN in Oz at the time were muppets. In fact, having worked for Oz Vogue at the time, I can confirm that the management were muppets.

I tend to feel that VOGUE should have four editions: Paris, New York, Milan and London. Most people who buy VOGUE speak English with French following up a close second. There is a strong case for a Spanish language edition. However, many ladies who keep the main international editions on their coffee tables tend to view all the other editions as inferior publications aimed at their domestic staff and other lower social orders. So do many of the advertisers, even if they are forced to create budgets for VOGUE Nowhere and so on.

The person who observed that ELLE is better-suited to international exploitation because of its more "streetwise" approach to fashion made a good point.

^
see, it's already turning out to be bad idea, and it doesn't even exist :p
(oh, and if editor pick wouldn't start new war, dialect in which it would be printed for sure would )

I'll wait and see how L'Officiel goes, then I might make up my mind if we need Vogue or not...

I got it! :magic:

You would be the editor for Serbian, Miss Dalloway for Slovenia, Lamia for Monetenegro and me for Bosnia and Herzegovina :woot: Everything solved!

^ :woot: great idea!

Oh, and we should give Macedonia supplement every now and then, cos you know, they are FYR after all

And I think there should be "petokraka" in O instead of name B):innocent:

Well right now there are Vogues in Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom and the United States and that's eighteen edition of Vogues.

I had no idea that there was a Vogue Singapore! It should come back and cover South East Asian fashion. I think there should be a Vogue Dubai for the Middle Eastern countries, and perhaps Vogue South Africa for Africa.

There should be Vogue Philippines only 'cause I'm tired (and so is my sister) of waiting for my Vogue to arrive in the mail. I get mine 5 months late at most and everything is old by then...

Vogue Holland( Netherlands), or Belgium and Holland, I have no idea why this two countries to do not have at least one Vogue. But if it's going to be a "reprint feast" like some others they are better without.

If the quality of the new Vogue is on the lines of Vogue Australia, then, I'd rather not have a new Vogue. :innocent:

i don't think that vogue germany is that much better :ninja:
as said some pages before: i would prefer vogue to be more exclusive! -_-

What is this really about? There is no fashion sense in Poland at all. Making a new mag is a huge step. Vogue is a bible, but it needs some background. We don't have it :ninja:

I don't think there would be a market for Vouge Denmark - perhaps a Scandinavian Vogue would work :ermm:

There are both a Swedish and a Norwegian edition of Elle and a Danish one will start this fall - I'm rather exited about it. We've also got a Danish version of Cosmopolitan - the ed's are a joke IMO  Hopefully Elle will be better.
