Which Countries Need Vogue?

I think Vogue Canada could be really good. Canada has produced some amazing models recently, and if they kept it more high fashion than celebrity based it would be a great magazine.

I'd like to see Vogue Argentina. Why? I always thought of argentinian woman as of stylish, elegant and classy. Argentina has also great models, so why not?

I was actually surprised that Elle Canada came in. Maybe it's because we had a French edition for years (Elle Quebec).

Would love to see Vogue Canada too, though I doubt that would happen in the near future. Flare is the biggest fashion magazine right now. I think Fashion will have to transform itself for Canada to get its own version of Vogue (and we'll have to have two editions--one for English Canada and another one for Quebec).

canada-nd i ish it was edgy and high fashion like paris vogue, thats the only way it will sell locally and internationally
f it's goin to be reprinting other vogue articles like australian,ie.,it will never work

Hate to burst the bubble, but I also don't think Vogue Canada will happen soon. Models we have a lot of that. The only problem would be the clothes. We get everything from Holt Renfrew. We either need to import more or produce more, or find a new niche of customers.

I'd love to see a Vogue Nederland (Netherlands/Holland in Dutch)...how awesome would it be to have a first issue a la Vogue US Sept04 with 9 of Holland's topmodels on the cover. Or a la Vogue US May07 with ten girls... We have so many girls to chose from! Imagine Doutzen, Lara, Iekeliene, Bette, Kim, Rianne, Querelle, Dewi, Sophie, Yfke, or perhaps Sanne on one cover shot by Inez & Vinoodh...Dutch glory pur sang

But it's never gonna happen sadly...if ever, it would be a Vogue Benelux.

We need to somehow profile smaller designers first. Many designers would LOVE to get attention, yet they don't because many people don't think they're innovative enough. I guess Vogue can't do that, because no one at Vogue or Elle (or even Fashion and Flare) is really interested, especially not at non-standard sized designers (very sad IMHO).

That would be great! There´s Vogue Latin America for all spanish spoken countries on the region, besides Mexico (which has it´s own Vogue).

Yes, when I read that, I could see it too - Argentina has great models, an abundance of culture (and a huge cultural history), including literature, cinema, theatre, painting, architecture, sport and general lifestyle. Also, there's no shortage of monied people at the top of the pile, and so many people living in cities and towns, it's an untapped market for an international magazine like Vogue.

Vogue Singapore please.
It's like NO VOGUES in the south-east asian region. Sad...

i really like that we have our own vogue here in mexico, but i just wish it didnt do reprints that much...

I think there should be a Vogue Croatia. They do a great job with Cosmopolitan Croatia, surprisingly enough I love their editorials. And also they have some really good designers.

There needs to be a Vogue KL/Malaysia. There's already a Vogue-like mag here called GLAM, but maybe by carrying the Vogue title, it will give the mag more exposure and coverage of Malaysia's fashion scene. Haha, sounds farfetched actually! I mean, local designers are beginning to flourish here in Malaysia especially in KL of course and we've had several local designers starting to expand their business in other places besides Malaysia such as Bernard Chandran opening a store in London or so (don't remember really:lol: - actually I'm not even sure if the store is still there) and Zang Toi in NY. Plus we've been having a lot of fashion shows lately especially with the recent Stylo Awards or whatever you call it where the Queen of Malaysia actually attended and officiated it and also KL Fashion Week (which was pretty crappy in my opinion:innocent: but encouraging of course for the fashion scene in Malaysia). Plus with the existence of the Pavilion (I think I spelt it correctly) shopping mall which houses a lot of luxury brands from NY, Milan and Paris, the fashion scene might start to develop here in Malaysia. People in Malaysia aren't conspicuously as fashionly conscious as the people in Milan or Paris unless you're part of the higher society/ elite people.

I'd really like to see that happening. Then, we can interview Jimmy Choo more and more and hopefully one day Malay models might actually walk the runways of Paris and Milan ,eventhough that's a little too much. I mean we do have those rare gems where a Malay girl would have the height of 178cm and look exotic but most of them start out too late at the age of 23 or so which is of course unacceptable in Paris and Milan. Who knows if the existence of a Vogue KL might one day produce another Malaysian top model such as Ling Tan?

Vogue Scotland!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *crickets chirp*

Dutch, Belgium and Scandinvaia should have a Vogue.

Hahah i love ELLE Croatia BUT i would like a Vogue that would cover the whole former Yugoslavia, can you imagine how great and diverse that would be?Editorials could be shoot from Ljubljana, Sarajevo, Beograd to Croatian and Montenegros beautiful sea shores and back again. It would be full of spirit.^_^

Poland !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, really, NO! I mean I love Vogue, I truly do, but Poland is simply not ready for Vogue as it's a really high fashion magazine. With all respect for Polish designers/photographers/stylists/models/..., first we need to make fashion more popular, then make GOOD magazines with NO reprints and try if it works. Vogue is a big thing, we're just not ready to handle it :blush:

I thought of that, but how would it be called? Vogue Ex Yugoslavia? I think it would be really awesome. There are a lot of Bosnian, Slovenian and Serbian designers I like, and we also have great locations for editorial to be shot. ^_^
