EXACTLY.

for everyone who says that tyra is a "diva" or "bitchy", they clearly haven't met her and are getting the wrong vibe from the television.

i met tyra at a restaurant in NYC in December. what restaurant, you ask?? APPLEBEES. yes, that's right, Applebees. not the most elegant and diva-ish of places, eh? i had just gone to see "Oceans 12" with a friend of mine at the AMC theatre on 42nd street. well, there's an applebees like right there, so we went in for a bite. Tyra was sitting at the table right next to us with an older lady who i think must've been her mom or aunt or something cause they were similar looking. she was absolutely STUNNING in person. 4 different people came over while she was actually eating (so rude), but she was very gracious and gave them autographs. . . one person was staying for a while trying to talk and then the older lady with tyra said, "excuse me, you seem like a very friendly person, but our ribs are gonna get cold if we don't get to eating them." it was cute. after tyra had finished eating her ribs, and she had the same size portion as me (i'm 6'2" male), then i spoke with her.

we talked about victoria's secret, and her tv show, and how the ribs were, etc. she was the most down to earth person you can imagine. she was barely wearing any makeup, but her skin was absolutely flawless. though she looks alot bigger than most other models, in person her body is like the most curvaceous, jaw-dropping perfection ever. i was so impressed. she was just sooooooooo nice and asked me questions about university and the city i'm from, and it was just really great.

Oh I use everything under the sun. I bet she would tell you to use Sundari though . I am very into classic old school no nonsense brands like Vichy and Nuetrogena -also Nuxe and Dr Haushka.

I have seen Kate Moss a bunch of times because she lives round the corner from me in St John's Wood. She is... short. Also when I was about 15 my friend gave me tickets to a Raphael Lopez show at Claridge's hotel in London. She couldn't go so I went with another friend. We also had backstage passes and because we were young and stupid and didn't know that you go after the show -we went in before the show and saw models getting ready. The only one I remember recognising then was Aurelie Claudel but I'll have to dig out my camcorder footage and see if there were any other big names.

6: pm. broadway and west 4th.
Daria strolls by. wearing navy faded zip up sweatshirt. white tee shirt. fatigue green baggy shorts to about the knee.
her eyes caught my attention 10+ feet away. they are a jewel like blue, lighter than in pics and really shining. her hair was just below chin length. kinda messy, straight with slight curl. looked like her natural color hair, a nice medium brown with faint streaks from the past. slightly dirty mousey brown look. slender body, but not scary. just right for a model (legs).
very pretty face, by any estimation, but not "WOW" beautiful like some models. that is part of daria's charm I think that shes more 'normal' looking, except amazing cheekbones and eyes.
height- I would peg her at 5'9". .some say shes 5'10" but Im not sure having stood right next to her. ....only negative- her skin was brown-- was she in tan booth? is that her natural color?? was she smwhere sunny recently? [vogue later said she had been in the caribbean somewhere=] I thought her brown skin looked fake...it wasn't as attractive as in many pics...unless thats her real color??? I dont think so.
so- nice slimness, messy clothes & hair, awesome shining eyes, ....very pretty but not mindblowing.

i liked daria a lot from her italian vogue stuff up to this point but her huge US stardom was still about 4+ months away....

today i met cameron! she was just shopping in dean&delucas and then i came up to her and told her what a fan i was. she was so shocked that anyone could recognize her but she was really sweet. she was gregareous and talked to me while in line. she is by far the nicest girl i've met. and b/c she's american, she speaks english! very smart...

i forgot to add how stunning she looked. i've seen models outside the tents before but never in my life have a seen anyone who is so beautiful. gemma and daria are striking but cameron has this amazing blond brown hair and great body and face...just drop dead gorgeous, and i'm not the only one when she was in the store everyone was looking at her, she didn't seem to notice though...maybe she blocks it out?

Anywayz, i've never seen a REAL-LIVE model in my whole life (like right in front of my eyes), so i don't know what it feels like, but if i see one, i would probably chicken out, too! I mean they would want their down time, right? Like what if you talk to them, and they turn out to be completely pissed that day and that would ruin the ads they ad and I'll start hating the brands and bla bla bla... omg... i think too much!

i saw aurelie claudel too once, like 4 or 5 years ago in paris, doing a photo shoot near place vendome. she was my first model sighting actually, and it was fantastic! she was wearing chanel, and walking up and down, with lots of people around her (make up, hair, assistants,....), and needless to say, she looked gorgeous!! i was really impressed.....
unfortunately i never found out what editorial or magazine the shoot was for, and that's still bugging me.....
