Which models get the best/worse work?

Freja Beha gets the most work indeed. Followed by Lara, Abbey Lee, Raquel & Anja...maybe Karlie too.

worse: Darla Baker, Marcelina Sowa.... actually the underrated models.

Well any work is work and better then nothing but it seems that Caroline Trentini and Shannan Click dont always or never get the best work Which is a shame since they are amazing versatile models and could have rocked different kinds of work easily.

I thought I'd bump this thread up and mention several models who seem to be doing very well at the moment..I thought i'd mention them because I wonder if the shifts in the positions of power at certain publications will change their status..

Models who are currently, consistantly getting the best work w/o a doubt (veterans excluded)

Though I think it's not as easy to establish who gets the 'worse' work, I'm more so thinking in terms of girls who continue to work hard and do a more than decent show season without having an editorial/campaign/print work repertoire that parallels..this could be just because of the quantity or even the quality, if the work is not as widely ran/recognized or just lower in prestige based on the audience it will reach..less exposure because of the teams they're working with. A lot of girls end up in this category, though.

daria werbowy........definitely. celine, salvatore ferragamo, balmain, stefanel, lancome. a regular on vogue paris and us. most models only do studio eds but daria got to go everywhere for her eds.

Jourdan and Magdalena do not get that much work. Jourdan books less work than she did circa 2008/09, only now she has one big campaign. As with every black model (apart from Joan) she has to get whatever she can take.

Magdalena has had better days editorially and campaign wise. Whenever she works nowadays it is usually for B-rate photographers, not Meisel etc.

I'm sad these girls are still not booking great print work;
Ariel Meredith (although a move to SI, one second after getting D&G with Testino was not a clever move by any means)
Julija Step (great runway but barely any print)
Nyasha Matonhodze (there's still time hopefully)

^^^ Well truth be told this is Jourdan first full season back since having her baby, so im not surprised she hasn't booked as much work like she did 08/09 but shes slowly picking up the pace again.

As far as your post goes, Fiercification, as I said this is regarding models who get the best work...as far as quality goes, not quantity. So yes, Jourdan may not have gotten that many jobs in comparison to other models of her status, but her jobs are of greater substance...so I disagree with your statement. I think she is working on a different level than other models who 'take whatever they can get.' As far as having only one major campaign..I didn't know the same could be said about 'every other black model'.

Sessilee Lopez - I would not say that she gets the worse work because I think she is doing well financially due to the catalog jobs that she is booking, but I think that it is a damn shame that Sessilee Lopez does not book more editorial work with the top photographers like Meisel, M+M, I&V, Lindbergh, Demarchelier, Testino and others. I think that she is up there skills wise with the models that I consider the best when it comes to print like Karlie, Anja, Coco, Eniko, Abbey Lee, Iris, Raquel and others and I wish that that was reflected by her presence in top magazines.
